Same happened to me, but not often. I don't see how it's horrifying. I think people are just a little too sensitive these days.
If you hit your spouse with an object it would be domestic abuse but a child who is even less able to defend themselves its called discipline, its cheap and lazy discipline in my opinion and I consider it child abuse

It's because you're teaching someone that knows nothing about how the world works.. A spouse is someone that should be able to understand the way the world works. Say your kid keeps stealing from his mom. You talk to him and tell him to stop. He does it more. You tell him to stop... He does it more... The cycle continues. If you beat his ass he's going to say, "Oh I shouldn't steal because stealing = punishment that hurts." That's the way the world works. You steal from someone, you get that punishment, not a talking to and sent on your way.

I'm speaking in terms... In terms of being a woman in general, she's a great role model. In terms of an artists she sexualizes a lot of things.

Also who are you to say a name is a dumb ass name? Do you even know what a name is? A name is not just something that comes out of that fairy tail book called the bible. A name is something you call someone. It has no other meaning other than that. So if you want to call your child dirt, why couldn't you? Dirt itself is a name we have assigned to the ground. Why could it not be assigned to a child?

You are tripping. You must not know pop culture like you think you do Lol. Do you want me to prove you wrong or do you want to accept your L?
Gonna address your post one by one I hate posting on my phone.

1. Do you even know what a role model is? If she contributes as to why (young, in some cases not even teenage) girls are twerking where their butts shouldn't be twerking, at the age they are twerking, talking about having *** in nearly all the songs she releases frequently, how does that make her a good role model? That's like saying Wayne is a role model because he made his way from the streets to making his own money and is successful or are you gonna tell me that I'm wrong? And before you bring up the "it's the parents responsiblity to make sure their child isn't exposed." What about the parents who do and the ones who still find a way to listen to it? It's played on the radio so frequently that it's impossible not to hear. Not only that, they (the young females) could have a friend that listens to her and could have her check the music and videos. If you can agree that Wayne is a good role model than we can agree that Beyonce is as well. Had the music not exist in the first place, there would be no influence to be given, it's quite simple

2. Names are meant to hold meaning, hence them having etyomological roots. Using your example, why would I want to name my child (dirt) after something that is considered to be negatively frowned upon? Not only is it dumb, it's unnecessary unless you'll agree that Shaquandeeshna isn't a dumb name

3. Never said pop culture wasn't sexualized back in the day, I'm well aware of Madonna. I said it's not as nearly sexualized as it is now. Kids back in the day were not doing the multitudes of sexual activity found in our culture now. There is a significant difference of sexuality found in music compared to today and the frequency at which is displayed

Probably won't be able to respond till tomorrow

What about the songs that empower women that Beyonce makes? Are you just going to refute those songs simply because she makes sexual music? Come on...

You clearly still don't know what I'm saying. As a musical artist, she emulates pop culture. Which is twerking, and all of that carrying on. As a woman; which you seem to not realize she is. As a woman, she is respectable and would make a good role model. As a woman meaning her music career aside. As a woman who is married before bearing a child, she is a good role model for young black women in America. I don't see how you can even disagree with this Lol.

Lil Wayne is not a good example because being sexual is not the same as shooting and murdering and drugs. Lol. Not to mention as a man, he's still a dirt bag. Beyonce is the opposite Lil Wayne when we get back to the basics of a respectable human.

And before you bring up the "it's the parents responsiblity to make sure their child isn't exposed." What about the parents who do and the ones who still find a way to listen to it? I wasn't going to say this in the first place Lol.

You said it yourself. Hold meaning. Whose meaning? Is everyone supposed to get the same meaning from the same words? When I say Fiends, you think one thing and I think another. You say dirt as something that is below you, someone else might say dirt as something that is part of a personal experience for them.

Now obviously I'm not talking about the literal definitions, I'm talking about personal definitions, which we all have.

Which is how explicit it is, as I already said Lol.

1. Let me use your logic

Not all of Wayne's songs is about shooting and murdering yet, he is still not a good role model even though some of his songs is not about shooting and murdering. At the end of the day he is still successful and getting money throughout the music industry. He supports himself and relies on no one to take care of himself. His songs also can teach people not to take any crap from anybody and just be the best you, you can ever be.

It's not hard to twist what I am saying to fit what you want yourself to see. At the end of the day how many girls are getting married because of Beyonce? At the end of the day, how many girls are twerking due to the way Beyonce is dancing in her videos and sexualizing her self? I can assure you with 1000% confidence the latter greatly outweighs the former. I also didn't know wearing revealing clothes like Beyonce was also a positive influence, isn't that why this dad beat the Beyonce out of his daughter?

2. Good

3. You still didn't answer my question. Do you agree with the ghetto name I posted in my last post? When people think of dirt what is the first thing that is going to come to there mind? Obviously the dirt in the ground. Once again, I guess you failed to read what I said, most names (that make sense) have etymological mean to it. I never once said that people should adhere to the standard of naming their children based on having etymological meaning. I simply stated Blue Ivy is a dumbass name and also according to you, Shaqueendeesha seems to be ok as well.

4. Once again, what does that have to do with what I said? The fact of the music has a lot more (acceptable) sexuality than it did back in the day therefore making it a negative influence on kids who aren't even teenagers.

My mom gets pretty mad at me at times and tosses anything she can grab right at me, funny thing is, 99% of the time none of the things she throws hits me.

Dad slapped me numerous times at mach 9000, once for stealing his cigs and smoking them out with a couple of friends in the school playground in the evening. God, he was raging, hotter than lava was his temper. I was 10 then.

OT: the guy was pretty harsh tho, i have to admit.

The only wrong thing he did was grabbing her by the hair. Maybe it was his first time giving her a whooping.
13 years old dressing like that is a no
Yeah, and she skipped town for like 3 days with her friends without telling her parents. The girl is like 15. Her parents filed a missing persons report and feared that she was dead. That ass whooping was what she deserved.

Yeah.. she did..

I still dont know why everyone says its child abuse and sh*t like that since the dad had all the right to be angry at her, the long list of things she did along with sexualization added alot of oil to the fire .. thats all..

I would do far worse than that if she was my daughter. But deep respect for that father. This world needs parents like that.
