A million times this. No excuse, he should be thrown in jail. You can bet that judge is gonna come down on him so hard.

Also if you watched the video, his internet search logs showed he was looking up what temp it takes to kill a child in a hot car. His wife also did the same. He also came back to the car and put something in it and STILL forgot the child? Nah this was murder and neglect.
^^ This. This is not normal research conducted by a caring parent and is highly suspicious. The searches were somewhat disguised as how hot would it have to be for a small animal to expire if left in a car. For a parent with a child that age you search on preparing to potty train, building the kids vocabulary, food preparation for toddlers. You might look for tips on how to teach a kid to swim but you don't research the percentage of kids that accidentally drown, how morbid.

You might not believe, but shit happens. Besides, he was at work (I think). You are thinking about work related shit. In the midst of everything you do not think "Oh! I left my child in the car...", you think "I got to get this done and that done".

I am not saying he should not get charged. I am only understanding his perspective. You clearly are not.
I don't think you understand the right perspective at all >_>. He came back to his car a few hours later and put something in it. I'm an LPN you can bet your butt that baby was probably screaming/crying for someone to help it. No way he just "forgot" about it.

Well I don't think most people watched the video either lol. I didn't even see it coming until I watched the whole thing.

Here's the thing. If "shit happening" means you forget your child in the car for seven hours, then you shouldn't have been a parent. "Shit happening" is not an excuse. Saying "shit happening" isn't gonna bring this kid's life back. If in the midst of anything, you don't think "Oh I left my kid in the car", then you have a piece of shit brain, or you're a piece of shit person. Bottom line, this guy either intentionally murdered his kid, or he was a failure. "Shit happens" doesn't make this any less bad than it is.

So lemme look at it from this guy's perspective.
Okay I'll just Google what temperature it takes to kill an infant.
I'll have my wife do the same.
Oh, I'll take my kid to work with me, even though I'll be busy enough to forget important shit.
Ok I'm at work, good thing I'm not leaving anything behind as I leave this car. Hey, what's that noise?
Doo-duh-doo, heading back to my car, getting something, nothing out of the ordinary in this car.
Humming to myself, coming back to my car, seven hours later and hoLY SHIT MY KID IS IN HERE AND HE'S DEAAAD, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

I pushed my Sister infront of a moving car by making her stand too close to the edge, even though I knew it was going to happen. It's aight though, shit happens.
Well you ain't no spiderman.
Nah, I looked at her and left. I could've got her, but was too lazy.

I left my sister in the house, even though it was burning down to the ground. But it's okay, shit happens.

LOL I think you guys are going to far with this and taking it all out of proportion. >.> What I am saying is somethings are out of your hands or control when you least expect it. You think "If only...", but its too late.

This guy story is different. What I interpeted....

Moms put child in backseat. Dads drive to work forgetting child in backseat. Dads does not look back to see the child and goes to work. Dad does not come back to the car until 7 hours later.

Now, if only he look back....

Yes, I think "shit happens" would be inhuman of me to say in this situation, because that is a human.

I put chocolate chips in my grandman's ice cream, but instead of actual chocolate chips, they were razor blades. But hey, shit happens.

Leaving your child in a hot car is NEVER one of those times.

The Dad went back to the car, then went back to work, then came back out. He's a failure,

Meh, it was obviously just a stupid mistake. He never meant any malice, so I think the judge should be relatively lenient with him.(like no life sentence or death penalty if that applies.)
oh please. forgetting a stick of butter in a hot car and watching it melt is a mistake. FORGETTING YOUR OWN GODDAMN KID FOR 7 HOURS is just a complete and utter failure for that person, both as a human being and more so as a parent. like, forgetting your kid in a car and then getting back in a minute or two is an understandable - extremely dumb still - mistake but for 7 ****ing hours? c'mon man.

I'm with him, he forgot. Stuff like that happens. It happen to me once. Not the car thing.
So what shit happens, people forget, let the man go already!
please don't procreate.

You wouldn't understand. You just in the outside looking in. This is just one story the news by chance happen to get. Imagine a million of this stoies untold, different scenario, and the child survived.

Thats just sad, I mean, I always check and run my hand over my pocket to look if my wallet or iphone hasn't fell out or, didn't leave them somewhere (kan aberrant example) but this person? I cannot explain in words alone, that's the epitome of being careless.
