D-Day

It is the 6th of June today. 68 years ago our soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy and lead the allied forces to victory against the NAZI's!

Those were some brave as F*** soldiers. Packed into a transport boat with no cover charging into machine guns, mortars, and artillery. Soon as the doors opened they were being shot at.

Yeah, they were brave beyond all belief. I doubt I could ever do something as brave as that. I never go into a fight that I have a high probability to die in.

Well, For the unlucky who survived that first "greeting", the german panzers were still waiting for them. Then they had to hid into bush, and thus began a "rattenkrieg". All they lived was hell.
So, yes, at least a bit of respect for them

Can you imagine the panic for those who were in the very front knowing that the probability of them getting shot and killed was 99.99%. Condolences for the wives and children of these brave guys.
