Ya here that lads? We're on! Let's give these bastards a good hammering!

Basic Information

Name: Dáin
Nickname: Lord of the Iron Hills | Ironfoot | Dáin II | Slayer of the Earth Serpent
Gender: Male
Age: 57
Clan: Steel Clan

Looks: Dáin comes from a family of short people, never growing taller than 5 feet tall. Though Dáin was an exception being slightly taller than that. Though the family comes from is seen as Dwarves. Though he is very small he is like the rest of his kin, exceptionally muscular and stronger than most. Dáin fashions a long beard that he has never shaved and having the teeth of a boar tied into his moustache and a few braids.

Dáin can always be seen wielding a large metal war hammer, which he wields with a single hand with ease, due to his strength. He always fashions chainmail which his hidden beneath his heavy plated armor. He also wears a metal helmet which he only wears during combat, and when removed one will see that he has a few tatoos on his face as well as a large mohawk of his red hair. When riding into battle he always brings a long metal spear able to pierce through metal with ease, as well as he enjoys using his head to headbutt anyone within range with enough force to give them a concussion. He rides a wild boar that has battle armor on when riding to war.

Personality: Unlike his cousin Durin, Dáin is more of a light headed person whom swears alot and is not afraid of insulting and angering anyone. It is as if he wants to fight constantly, as an example when he arrived at the battle of Erebor, he politely asked the Iwagakure reinforcements to go the **** back to their homes and leave this business to the dwarves. Even tho he was immensely rude and none-caring towards outsiders, he always seemed polite and friendly towards his own kin, especially since he was the Lord of the Iron Hills.

He was a leader of many, prepared to deal out hard punishments as well as care for his people in the best way possible. Even tho he was sometimes seen as cruel and having a stone cold heart, he was in fact very caring of his family, always coming to the aid of his cousin Durin. Tho sometimes it would be difficult as he needs to tend to his own home and people.

Dáin was born long ago in a small village carved deep into the Iron Hills. This boy was the son of Náin whom was the Lord of the Iron Hills and the grandson of King Dáin I of Durin's Folk. When Dáin was born in the great halls of the Iron Hills, his father knew that this boy was going to grow up and become an even greater King and Leader of his folk. The Iron Hills were a large mining family where every worked hard for many hours a day. The mines were dug deep into the hills, so far that it would take at least a day to come down into its lower halls. The Iron Hills had no trade agreements with anyone else but the Great Fortress of Erebor. And like their kin in the great halls of Erebor, their genes were changed so that they only grew to a certain height due to their lives inside the mountains and in small confined spaces, and as such they were refered to as dwarves. Even tho the Iron Hills had no trading partner besides their own kin, they needed not find anyone else, as they did not have any jewels, no in their mines they found the most precious of all; metal. The mines of the Iron Hills were famous for the vast wealth of metal that they possessed and the smithies of the Iron Hills had perfected their skills with the hammer to create the strongest of armor and weaponry. By the time Dáin turned seven, his father made him join the army, also known as the Iron Legion, so that his son could become a strong and powerful individual prepared for anything that may come onto his path in the future.

Dáin was taught that the most valuable part of the human body was his strength and power that he held within his hands, and he was taught how to use them well in combat, learning the ways of hand to hand combat as well as gaining more physical strength than most humans. Even tho the dwarves of the Iron Hills valued strength over wit, Dáin was a smart yet incredible rude and vulgar individual. Dáins skill with his hands and the earthen element was unparalelled by anyone else in the village. When he finally came of age and he had been molded by the army to become one of the most vicious warriors they had, a war broke out between the Iron Hills and Iwagakure, a war that would lay waste to almost all of the Iron Hills, a war that dragged out for more than three years. It claimed thousands of lives, but the most devastating loss was at the battle of Azanulbizar, the East-Gate entrance to the ancient kingdom of Moria. There Náin the Lord of the Iron Hills was decapitated in front of the entire dwarven army, and Dáin as devastated as ever, rallied the dwarves to his side and led the army of the dwarves straight through the ranks of the men, driving their forces away claiming the victory. After the battle was over, the Iron Hills returned to their homes, burrying their beheaded Lord in the lower halls, naming his successor, Lord Dáin Ironfoot.

Dáin was a young and unexperienced Lord, yet he managed to rebuild his kingdom as well as the entire army was reformed stronger than ever. It was during his younger years that a traveler came upon his village, a pale man wearing a black rope with red clouds. He offered them gold and riches beyond their wildest dreams if only they would lay down their weapons and swear their loyalty him. Instead of listening to the man he named Worm Tongue, he used his foul tongue to polity go back to where he came from. Not soon after the pale man left, one of the most tragic events would occur in the Iron Hills. It was the following night that Dáin was awoken by the sound of his people screaming, the halls were filled with blood and dwarves torn limb from limb. Dáin not knowing what was happening ran through the halls until he entered the Throne Chamber. there he was met by a giant white serpent, large fangs and pale green eyes that seemed to pierce through his soul. He was petrified by this giant foul beast that had torn and eaten and destroyed anything in its path, and he knew that if he could not stop this beast no one could. So with his large hammer and his courage he ran at the beast roaring with the full might of his lungs. The serpent slashed out at him with its fangs, yet he jumped over hits head and with a powerful hammer drop he forced the serpent into the ground with a force that made the floor beneath them crumble as well as the pillars around them came crushing down burrying them both alive. When Dáin finally awoke, he found himself in the infirmary, having bandages all over his body, and he heard how everyone praised him as the one whom had saved them from the Pale Serpent, and they called him Slayer of the Earth Serpent.

Not trusting anyone after the events, and hearing of the Dragon Lord Zanjis swift and devastating attack upon Erebor, Dáin figured that the pale man he met not long ago did not work alone. Dáin refused the people from Erebor to take refuge among his people, instead he sent half of his army to join them on their journey to the ancient mines of Moria where he aided them in rebuilding their home. While these events were unfolding, and the kingdom of Erebor was no more, Dáin met another man by the name of Jiraiya whom told him that he had met his cousin Durin and that he had taught him the ways of the toads and he was willing to do the same for Dáin. He gladly accepted, knowing he needed more power and strength to protect his people from outsiders. Training the arts of the toads, Jiraiya granted him the ancient sword Ishiken, made by the smithies of Mount Myoboku, a powerful weapon that Jiraiya believed would be a great tool that Dáin could use to protect his village. The weapon was also given to him as a token of friendship and as a means to show that he had mastered the arts of the toads.

After many years of prosperity and not a single war or any disasters, Dáin received a raven. The raven carried the sigil of the King under the Mountain, the King of Erebor. Without even having to look at the letter, he already knew it was his cousin Durin and within the next few hours he had already assembled his army and began his march towards Erebor. It was a days travel from the Iron Hills to Erebor, and on his journey to the great kingdom, he traveled past the village of Iwagakure whom seemed passive and wished to stay out of the business of the dwarves. Dáin was furious and angered that they would not help and from that day he refused to interact or engage in any friendly meetings with the village.

Dáin is the cousin of Durin and responded to his call for help during the quest of reclaiming the Lonely Mountain. Dáin had marched with five hundred dwarven soldiers, exceptionally strong even by dwarven standards, clad in heavy armor and iron boots, and armed with mattocks, shields, and broadswords. He arrived just in time before the beginning of the battle. As he arrived he was greeted by his cousin before their two armies lined up creating the infamous Iron Wall.

As the battle raged between dwarves and men, the dwarven wall of spear and shields would not be broken, while hundreds of dwarves stormed out with shield and hammer in hand fighting to the very end to crush the enemy. The same could be said for Dáin whom rode out on his wild boar, leaving his men to defend as he smashed anything down in his path, headbutting, smashing everything with his hammer as well as crushing bone and skull with his strength. Nothing was to stand in his way to protect his cousin and his people. When the battle had ended, the dwarves stood victorious, even tho it had cost them many lives, they would celebrate in the great halls of Erebor. Dáin was given the key to opening the gates of Erebor, and so he did. During the great feast, Durin seemed to decline the position to be the new King of Erebor as he wished to return to the ancient halls of Moria, and left Dáin to not only be Lord of the Iron Hills but he was then crowned King under the Mountain. Dáin maintained a good relationship with his cousin in Moria and brought great wealth and security to his people, yet continued to refuse to enter relations with Iwagakure as they had refused to aid them in their many struggles.

Ishiken | Stone Sword
Type: Weapon
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description: The great sword, known as the Stone Sword, was a secret sword from Mount Myoboku. Slate grey in color, the sword has a circular, hollow, pommel with a fairly long grip. A chain connects the pommel to the hilt of the sword which is joined to the blade. This ancient sword has a wide blade, which has several markings resembling veins running down its length. The sword was forged by the toad smiths, inside the belly of a fire breathing toad. The sword is made of a unique stone only found on Mount Myoboku and the so called veins that you see run down the swords length, are in truth the pulsing veins and flesh of a fire breathing toad. These veins from the fire breathing toad are not only covering the sword it is also forged into it, so the veins are running through it. The sword itself can only be wielded by the owner of the sword. The reason for this is its defense mechanism. The Stone Sword is like signing a contract, the wielder must smear blood upon his hand and place it on its handle, from that day forth, the blood and finger print is melted into the handle, and only the person with that exact blood and fingerprint may wield the sword. If another person may attempt to wield the sword, the sword will not recognize the wielder, and the veins on the sword will shoot out at blitzing speed, wrapping themselves around the person while digesting them and rapidly enlarging, essentially consuming and digesting the person whom would attempt to wield it, similar to someone whom have been reverse summoned into the stomach of a fire breathing toad. If the opponent is in touch with the sword while in combat, the veins on the sword may begin to attach to the target and digest the specific body part.

The Stone Sword has a few unique abilities that gives its wielder quite the edge in combat over their opponent. There are a total of 2 abilities which the sword possesses besides its defensive mechanism which activates automatically if someone tries to wield it.

The first ability of the sword is a defensive property which is activated through the user allowing the veins on the sword to wrap around him while then letting them digest his chakra, causing the veins to rapidly increase in size, creating a dome of meat, which has the same unique property as the fire breathing toads stomach. As such this meat dome which protects the user as the veins detaches after having sucked out the chakra and creates a dome with short range reach, where the user can do as he wishes from the inside. The properties of this meat dome are that it is highly resistant towards fire and heat based techniques as well as Taijutsu and solid objects it may repel. Of course this only applies to techniques within reason. If this meat dome catches an incoming Taijutsu attack, it will consume that body part while then drag in the person, consuming them whole and digesting them in the process. This ability is known as the Stomach Dome. The Stomach Dome technique is equal to an A-rank technique and due to it being made from the stomach of a fire breathing toad it has a natural resistance towards fire and heated elements and may stop fire and heated elements of up to S-rank. The stomach dome technique can resist other attacks of up to A-rank. The digesting process is also increased similar to the Toad Mouth Binding for both the abilities of the sword, seeing it consumes and eats a human person within seconds, if the opponent is not capable of escaping its grasp. The Stomach Dome technique counts towards the move count. The Stomach Dome may be used twice per battle.

The second ability is where the offensive prowess of the sword is shown. The wielder will cause the veins and the meat to shoot out like tendrils from the sword where they will attach themselves to any surface they strike, meaning if they touch the opponent they will attach to his body, whereas then the entire sword will blast out a rain of tendrils that will consume and feast upon the target. This ability is called Wrath of the Fire Breathing Toad. The Wrath of the Fire Breathing Toad counts towards the move count and it may be used thrice per battle.
- The Wrath of the Fire Breathing Toad technique is equal to an A-rank technique and due to it being made from the stomach of the fire breathing toad it is resistant towards fire and heated elements, and it will wrap its tendrils around the target at intense speeds before consuming them whole as the tendrils will grow in size and digest them. This technique has a mid-ranged reach.

Note:
- Can only be wielded by Gutsy Jiraiya and those he allow
- To wield the sword one must have signed the Toad Contract
