From the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and their collection of legendary blades to the Sage of Six Paths and his Treasured Tools, weapons with special abilities have always had a place within the Naruto universe. These weapons have the ability to turn the tide of battles, they can alter landscapes, and sever soul from body, they can expel powerful streams of elemental energy, and even have the power to cleave moons in half. As such, weapons have always had a certain charm to them. Many anime characters wouldn't have nearly as much depth or complexity without their weapons. Roronoa Zoro wouldn't be nearly as appealing of a character without his goal to become the worlds greatest swordsman. Ichigo Kurosaki would never have been able to protect his friends and loved ones without Zangetsu. The berserk black swordsman Guts would never have survived his apocalyptic world without his iconic slab of iron cleaving through hordes of demonic and undead entities. Naturally the sight of these iconic characters have given rise to the desire for members of our Roleplay to wish to create their own iconic weapons, with all the flair and destructive capabilities of a Shōnen Protagonist. To aid in the approval of such unique and precious submissions, here are the rules for creating your very own Custom Weapons.​




Abilities:

  • Custom Weapons typically consist of traditional weapons, such as swords, daggers, polearms, battle-axes, warhammers, whips, bows, etc, however Custom Weapons have been known to possess more unique forms, such as books or rings. Ultimately a Custom Weapon's form is limited by reason and imagination in equal measure.
  • Custom Weapons do not count towards the 40 Custom Jutsu limit.
  • You can make up to a max of three Custom Weapons, enough for one per bio slot, and come with one (1) Custom Weapon Jutsu slot.
  • Custom Weapons can have a set of abilities, though there are limits to it and it's up to the Mod who checks the customs to decide whether it's approvable or not.
  • The Rank you place on a Custom Weapon doesn't automatically determine the Rank of abilities on a Custom Weapon. The Rank of the individual abilities has to be stated where necessary in the description. For example an S-rank sword that can expel a fireball when swung, the rank of the Fireball is not automatically S-Rank. In cases where it isn't, abilities will default to, at best, B-Rank, meaning something that would otherwise be a powerful technique in it's own right can be countered easily.

Restrictions:

  • While you can only make up to three Custom Weapons of your own, you can learn the Custom Weapons of other members. These weapons have to be summoned during battle and can't be added to your bio. Also only one of the Custom Weapons you own can be used during battle.
  • If you have maxed out your Custom Weapon slots and want a new Custom Weapon, you must drop an old Custom Weapon. This cannot be done in cases where a Custom Weapon's existence is tied to a given Field with limited slots that cannot be dropped, such as Custom Elements. In this case the weapon can be updated, changing it's abilities and even it's form, but the Weapon must remain a Custom Weapon for that given Custom Element, meaning it cannot be changed to a Custom Weapon for another Element, with this logic applying to other similar cases.
  • If the user is a wielder of one of the Seven Arms of the Unifier you can still have a Custom Weapon, however you can only use one of the Weapons in a battle and which one you use has to be stated at the start of the battle.
  • Sentient Custom Weapons require the user to know Yang Release.
  • Gun Scientific Ninja Tool Weapons count as Custom Weapons.
  • Gun Custom Weapons cannot be used within the same fight as a regular Custom Weapon, unless the user is a Cyborg, in which case the Gun takes up the place of the second CW you are normally allowed in the fight.
