I'm not sure if this exists, but I didn't see it anywhere. It would be nice to have a page that classifies customs RP's by which anime/manga they come from and whether the user gives permissions to re-use the character. with this you wouldn't need to search in the RP thread and ask around to see it a character is taken.

This is fixed with a simple Approved Bio search. Simply Type the character name you want to make into the search bar, if nothing comes up the bio is free to make, if someone comes up you need their permission, if many come up you simply need to click on them all until you find out which is the owner. Although i like the idea of having a list, the ammount of time and effort needed to create something like that when a search is just as easy isn't plausible

Use the search bar

Where it says Keyword(s):
Type the name of the person/character.

And right next to it where it says "Search Entire Posts"
click it and another tab will pop up saying
"Search Titles Only"

Then just click search.

tbh, i prefer using Search Entire Posts, it is more accurate imo

and to answer your question, there are 69 (lol, i said 69, so funny) pages of approved bios, on each page is around 30 bios i would guess, that is 2070 bios, gl checking all of those ;)

I realize you can do this, but it would be more convenient if a thread was already made to do this.

It is a lot of bios, but the thread could be made and it would be the responsibility of all people who are the primary owner of a character to submit their character to the Mod(s) of the thread, and then the Mod(s) would update it. What I'm thinking of is one post that would be formatted like,

Full Metal Alchemist
Character, Username(Primary Owner), Permission: Yes/No
Character, Username(Primary Owner), Permission: Yes/No
...
Naruto
Character, Username(Primary Owner), Permission: Yes/No
Character, Username(Primary Owner), Permission: Yes/No
...

In this way it is easy to look up a character by anime/manga, and instead of browsing multiple threads the information is contained in one post. The thread could be made and until it is completed sufficiently people can still use the search bar.

No. Far too much work for something that you could just know by using the search button. You completely disregard the fact that, unless someone would have so much time to check all 2000 approved bios, the list would never be complete, that people drop their bios all the time and that they change their NB users names too. Finally you also have the problem of when is a character now really 'owned' by someone and when not?

That amount of work that would be needed to make and monitor such a list would be ridiculously high compared to just using the search button, especially when that list will never be truly complete, which would require you to search either way for the character.
