custom jutsu help?

when you have a custom jutsu approved does that mean you can just start using it?

i think so.
never made a custom jutsu, i think you will have to have the 5/4 basic elements to make a jutsu.

Lets say that you've started training in lighting. You can then make a lightning custom, if approved, you can use it.

If you are a Jounin, you are allowed to learn 3 out of the 5 basic elements. Saying you have learned Fire, Water and Earth. You created a lightning-base custom jutsu, you are not able to perform it if you have never learned the element. Though, you are capable of creating it since Mods can't keep track of the elements you learn by checking your biography or else the mods would have to do it for everybody which would consume too much of their time.

If you are jounin, you would be allowed up to A-rank, yes? Saying you have learned the fire element, and have an S-rank fire-based technique thats approved, your still not allowed to use it due to rank's ability only letting you use up to A-rank. But its seldom approved if you don't have the rank for it, mods might mis-slip just one time but it rarely happens. This case usually goes for people who trade customs and obtain a custom beyond their capability.

All in all, you are allowed to use custom jutsus conditionally that you have the rank, learned the element and have the jutsu approved in the Custom Jutsu Submission thread.
