people who i think are more powerful than kakashi and alive, in no particular order
naruto,sasuke,kabuto,tobi,raikage,oonoki,bee. these are definitely more powerful than kakashi.
arguably more powerful than kakashi- tsunade,mei,gaara,kitsuchi,darui,gai, maybe ao or dodai. so i'd say kakashi ranks somewhere between no8 and no13 currently. probably somewhere between top 25 and top30 of all time

That's 9 definitive ones. In my opinion, Tsunade is stronger than Kakashi as well, but I've seen places on NB where she's criminally underrated. Darui may also rank ahead of Kakashi, although I tend to give Kakashi the edge in that case. I'm sure there are a couple other ninjas that could take Kakashi that I'm not thinking of.
So no, he's not in my top 10. But he's close. I'd say top 15, definitely top 20 out of alive characters.
I agree fanboys can be annoying. But just as annoying are the people who get annoyed by fanboys and start making ridiculous statements in the opposite direction. Someone called Kakashi an "average" ninja without MS. Please. By definition, an "average" ninja is a chuunin. Fanboyism is annoying, but don't let the hate get to ridiculous levels either.
