Probably already been posted but i havent seen it so what do you guys think? And when i say prime ace, i mean when he was ready to kill teach's whole crew to avenge thatch. And i keep in mind Zoro still hasn't been pushed to go all out yet since the time skip so we dont know what he is capable of.

Location: sky island, upper garden.
Neither have any intel on eachother.

stating that teach is low yonko lvl the time he fought ace, one shanks warned WB about teach and his capabilities, two teach has always been the one to be underrated, comparing the two: freed ace with near death vivi card was able to stop an attack against Aokiji. prime ace lost to BB. ace is op just as sabo is.

so the scaled power zoro is craker lvl and prime ace is at luffy lvl

Zoro uses haki slash. Its supper effective. Ace dies. Easy to Midd for Zoro.

I think it is very hard to compare power levels pre-TS and post-TS, I'm a die hard OP fan, have been since 2003 but let's not pretend that OP is wholely consistent, it's nowhere as bad as in most other manga and the power levels are still prety tightly under control by Oda but there are some weird things here and there, like Croc pre-TS, and how absurdly OP even someone like Sabo looks even by MF standards, its almost a 2 decade long manga so this was bound to happen. And this is bout to continue I'll wager anything that the Yonko, the Admirals and someone like Mihawk will all pull stuff many times more impressive than MF. I do think a lot of this has to di with Luffy's power dcaling throughout the OP timeline, the stronget the SHs get the more intense the powers of all the side characters become, whether they are stronger than chars before them or not (Pica is one example, he looked like meh in DR but look at what he did, he basically changed tha landscape of the island, imagine what else he is capable of ... and he is nowhere near the top ppl in OP)

until Zoro beats a Yonko no.2 I will view Ace as the stronger one

I wanna say Zoro mid-high diff, but Ace was able to block an Admiral's attack, while he Zoro was promptly defeated by one. Ehh, it'll probably be Zoro.

DEf king with ace can't see him tanking the sun tech also if ace keeps his distance similar to pics (yes aware pics has different movement) but what ace has is amazing df that is uber powerful so yeah I feel like ace would win high diff if he keeps zoro at a distance and just burns him if zoro gets close then it's rap

As of right now I'd favour Ace. Luffy has yet to surpass Ace's bounty himself, which probably holds some significance, Luffy is also a year younger right now than Ace was at the time of his death.

They both should have equal growth rate too (Pirate King's son, and Most Wanted man's son) and while Luffy was under the tutelage of the Dark King, Ace was under the WSM and his crew.

So It's not even a foregone conclusion that Luffy is > Ace.

You also have the fact that a really young Ace was on par with Jimbei who by all means was much older in his pirating life, thus the Jimbei that fought Ace and the Jimbei we see today shouldn't be worlds apart. Jimbei is at worst stronger than Sanji or M3 level, and Ace is significantly stronger than him because of his growth rate.

Promptly Defeated where??? :| man the amount of bias

OTT: a rookie ace fought a Jinbei 5 days non stop and was still able to stand, was offered shichibukai, "had haki" etc. I feel Zoro senpai would take because plot XD but on hype I don't see Ace loosing this one...

As been said before, I feel Ace is a good example of a character that suffered the 'pre skip penalty'. After the timeskip even the weaker pirates get to show off all kinds of haki powers. If Ace had the opportunity to show up now I think he would come off a lot stronger.

I think if Marineford was done again post timeskip we would see different kinds of fights based on how Oda is handeling the haki now.

I think the best comparison now would be Zoro vs Sabo as an Ace stand in, don't think Zoro can take it now.

Zoro wins in a mismatch.

Yes because all Yonko 2n are the same in powerlvl. Ace feats suggest he gets murked.

Yes getting knocked down means your defeated. Also it was a basic clash between Fire and Ice anyone with the Mera that isn't completely fodder could pull that feat off.

An attack that is comparatively weak to the rest of Fujitora's arsenal dealt enough force to render Zoro on his knees. That's a clear indicator of the difference in their power.
