Jir, Oro and Tsu show team work and excellent collaboration with each other when they are supposed to be team...and they got loads of XP doing that...
Nar and Sas would show some team work if they are supposed to be team but sakura would be a pain in ****.....

You know, I hadn't really thought about this, when i think of this senario i think each pair against one another. Jiraiya vs Naruto Oro vs Sasuke and Tsunate vs Sakura. and i think at their current levels team 7 would win.
But! if the Sanin were working together i think they would have the advantage for sure, Team 7 never really worked as a team. naruto and sasuke were to busy competing and sakura doesn't count. +rep great post

i know that jiraya have a counter jutsu against amersatu.Remember in part 1 of naruto when sasuke was looking for naruto and bound up to itachi and kisame and naruto.Jiraya came after and save them,Itachi and kisame escape by using amarsatsu at the wall,then jiraya take a sample of the flame to research it.Do u remember?

KM + SM Naruto Rasengan-Spam in all sort of varieties.. Also he owned Jiraiya when he was in 4-tails mode, end of story
Sakura: If she's in battle then Naruto will get angry and turn into Fox since Sakura dies

How do you figure Orochimaru would go down so easily? Sasuke has no jutsu even with his EMS that can seal orochimaru. And Sasuke genjutsu is a far cries from Itachi. And Even though Orochimaru got his hand cut of by itachi he was just about to Release the same genjutsu that put Kakashi in the Hospital for 2 weeks. So if any thing Orochimaru would own sasuke even without Edo tensi. :flaw:

So why jiraya,tsunade and orichimaru are call legendary sanin.they maybe fight stronger opponent before and also got special jutsu or ability that are not fully reveal.they maybe deadly as a team

just watch this video from 3:39 to around 4:00, that much time it takes to seal the flames of Amaterasu, i can´t really see Jiraya being burned by Amaterasu and 20 seconds do something without being dead already
