I think that both neji and lee are at a disadvantage since they use hand to hand combat and their enemies are able to change their physique for defense and offense and kimimaro is invulnerable to taijutsu

Kimimaro was invulnerable to LEE's taijutsu, yes. But Neji strikes tenketsu with a small, chakra pinpoint without even braking the opponents' skin so it wouldnt surprise me if he was able to deal chakra damage to kimi without dealing physical damage

to be honest, pre time skip Neji and Lee>>> current Neji and Lee. Thats how little screen time those characters have got. The only new move Neji has shown is the eight trigram air palm and Lee has not shown any growth at all.

Now to the OP, if Neji uses the gentle fist on Jugo and Kimimaro and is able to stop their transformation, Team 1 may have a chance. Lee would damage a lot with his 5 gates. However, this seems rather unlikely since the curse mark is independent to users chakra network much like the kyuubi. So my vote goes to team2.

Kimmimaro and Juugo win.

Lee could very well handle Juugo on his own, the problem factor is Kimmimaro.I doubt the Gentle Fist will be very useful on him.
To even damage the internal organs close contact is required.

^Press the points and releases chakra simultaneously=Internal damage.

For Kimi's case,
He has bones under his skin

That itself renders most of the impact of the Gentle fist useless as well.

And anyways close range with him is out of question

Therefore, conclude by saying, Kimi is the reason Kimi+Juugo win this mid-high diff.

You could speak of the mid range air palm of Neji's but that can be dodged by kimi especially since this is healthy kimi his speed will be better.

The part about Gentle fist affecting Kimi is open to debate and speculation but i'd say even if it doen affect him close range being so hard Kimi would win especially because his offense is better than Neji's.

Thanks for a good analysis, my vote is mostly for Kimi and Juugo but It is also clear how with the right team effort, Konoha could get a pretty epic unexpected win, Lee is always surprising. But yeah my opinion stands

I can't see the Gentle Fist being able to puncture Kimi's bones, but if I'm not mistaken his bones are created from his chakra. If the bones do have a flow of chakra that could be disrupted with Gentle Fist, it could prevent the formation of new bone from the area Neji hits. If Neji can get a 64 palm on Kimi and Lee can finish off Juugo quickly enough, he make be able to go 5 gates and break the areas of bone that have halted chakra flow (if 5 gates taijutsu is strong enough to do so). Either way I see the end result of this fight being either Lee in 5 gates vs Kimi, or Neji and Lee(5 gates) vs Kimi. If Neji is with Lee and my theory is true, they may be able to pull off a very high diff win. But, this theory is just speculation so I would give it to team Kimi mid-high diff.
