Current Gai sensi vs current Gaara

Personally I think it can go either way me and a friend was just debating this in another thread he thinks Gai takes it I'm leaning towards gaara


Notes : gaara can take flight to evade Gai attacks
It's extremely hard to get in close contact with gaara as of this time in the manga

Gai sensi is extremely fast and can most likely bypass gaara sand (not sure sense it defended against Mokoton witch is an instantious forrest)

If Gai cetchs gaara in morning peacock I'm sorry I'm a gaara fanboy but its over lml but the question is can he get it

His gates are extremely effective but he went 6 gates against a 30% Kisame tht was only using water ninjutsu (tht was average) and wasn't even using samanda not to mention Gai had back up so how I look at it Gai has to b at least 6 gate and up to win this fight

Dnt forget gaara carries a mini desert on his back and can summon one at extreme speed

gaara, since gaara is very good at shisu justu and clone justu now, and his sand, gaara will survive til 6 gates with out a problem but 7 gates will be a problem.

if you make the distance something in gaara's favour like 80 metres he has a chance at least. but standard distance like 25 metres gaara is not winning.

gaara is a stationary fighter who lacks impressive speed or reflexes. gai was able to blitz a v2 jin which had a sharingan and rinnegan. there is nothing stopping gai from doing the same against a fighter who is much slower. gaaras defense would be destroyed by hirudora

gai is the stronger character, he wrecks this kid.

gaaras fast too. he tracked kcm naruto and mu with his eyes alone and can sense anything that touches his sand. moreover he can fly meaning only evening tiger can actually hit him and i doubt that attack is stronger than C3 jouki boi or 5 freaking susano swords

im pretty sure the auto defence that blocked 5 susanos at point blank makes up for that

speeds useless. in the midst of a fight all gai had to do was close his eyes for a second and part 1 gaara made a clone without him noticing. and in part 1 gaara showed he could transport himsef by turning into sand and then solidifying

his sand wall withstood C3, jouki boi and 5 susano swords. only time ive ever seen gaara bleed is from piercing attacks (PS sword, chidori)
