You guys arent Givin enough credit to kimmimaru. At that time he was the strongest of all the kids. That's why oro wanted his body first. He fought with will power against Naruto in fox mode. Lee drunk mode and then gaara. Only reason gaara survived was cuz he died right b4 the finishing blow. Kimmimaru is the one of the best.

12 Year old Gaara pushed Kimimaro to his final curse state and even then he pretty much beat him.

Kimimaro came back from what should have been his end because Gaara insulted his mentor...that is true to a large degree whether you like it or not.

Although Gaara would have been killed by Kimi's last attack, Gaara was still the victor as Kimimaro had already lost by that point...he was basically dead and buried and simply came through the bone as an extention of himself, but he was at the point of death....

Gaara pushes Kimimaro to using his Curse Mark at the age of 12...

Gaara's Sand Tsunami caused Kimiaro to go into his final Curse State....again Gaara is 12.

My point:

1: Gaara was young and improved from Genin which is when he fought Kimi, to Kazekage status. You can imagine how much of an improvement Gaara has made.
2: Gaara managed to beast Kimimaro at this stage and almost won, but he ran out of chakra...
3: No one knows if Kimimaro would have won against Gaara. Had Gaara been fatally wounded, Shukaku would probably have healed him and began to get involved, much the same as Kyuubi does with Naruto.
4: Gaara was protecting Lee at that time as well as fighting Kimimaro.

These are just a few points as to why Gaara may have won then and would certainly win now.

All Gaara has to do is catch him in a sand burial. Kimmi is a Taijutsu specialist, all Gaara has to do is fly out of range and attack from a distance like always. What is Kimmi going to do while Gaara is in the air??

How do you know that? Also,i actually believe he had some advantages when he had Shukaku. He could also sit in the air when he fought Kimimaro last time, but he didn't do that. Who do you think will win if they fight currently? Kimimaro is healthy and at his best(not on the verge of death like last time).

Honestly, i still think Kimimaro takes this, cuz i don't see how he could hurt Kimimaro, and i don't see a real difference in power between Gaara at that time and current Gaara(but maybe i'm wrong. So don't flame me! xd)

Like i've said before, i personaly see no difference in power between that 12 year old Gaara(he was even 13, not 12 btw), and current Gaara. He could already do almost all what current Gaara do.

And it's the same with the rest of your argumentation so excuse me if i don't talk about that

I personaly prefer to base my feats from what i'm seeing and not from what i imagine, and like i've said before, unless you prove me that Gaara is stronger, i actually believe there is not more difference, or even if there is, it's not that great.

His father stated his sand was stronger, he was able to stop Raikage from smashing Sasuke in V2, and he has done nearly twice as much during this war than he's ever done before in the past (before being healed by Tsunade). He didn't take to the air right away before because he was digging for minerals in the ground to make sand. That doesn't mean that once he makes the sand Gaara cannot control it while in the air.

This is y gaara who supposedly has incredibly fast sand got caught off guard is exactly why gaara would lose

Lee being, to tired to do shit would've fell and been either impaled or died from the fall once kimmimaro drilled gaaras face

You forget gaara is a distant fighter so in theory kimmimaro shouldn't have landed any blows but he did may I add he was ill & fought naruto and lee both he would've killed

If being buried alive by tons of sand several meters deep couldn't kill him when he was ill imagine him healthy and fresh
