This Shinki still stomps current Boruto he has no counters to Iron sand especially if Shinki unleashes an Iron sand like water Senbon. Not to overhype Shinki but Burt is going to need an ass pull S/T jitsu to actually fight Shinki or so he can hit and run. That way he'll at least pose some sort of challenge to Shinki so it wont be a neg diff rather a mid diff.

The iron sand is literally iron sand. It's not made of chakra like Kashin's fire or Boruto's water. Believing Boruto can absorb the sand would be akin to believing Boruto could absorb a telephone because the battery contains chakra or something.

That's only true so far for pure chakra techs not non chakra techs or techs with chakra that are solid. If you look at Boruto's absorbtion of the lightning you'll notice he didn't absorb the pillars which would also be made and composed of chakra.

If he absorbed the chakra from them they would've also disappeared Karma will likely not be able to absorb chakra out of the Iron sand either if we go by that example.
