Well we all know (or have pretty strong guesses) that naruto will be the next "sage of six paths" of his day. We also know that jiraiya's prophecy is to have a student who will bring a great change to the ninja world, either great stability or great destruction. Well in my opinion becoming the kage of 1 village won't change the entire ninja world. So how would you feel if naruto didn't become hokage and instead travel the world spreading his ideas of peace, kinda like the sage did in his day? Maybe he could also right books like jiraiya did but instead of make out paradise it would be some sort of guide lines of peace or something.

I'd be alright to be honest. But I'd rather he at least be given the position first and then he turns it down.
But on the whole, I always wanted to see Naruto as a hokage and Kishimoto said his ending is set is stone, so I'm thinking that's the general direction
There's also the super-kage idea where Naruto is the leader of all the kages.

Same here. Never mind the fact that Naruto is too immature to be Hokage, it would be like Kishimoto shoehorning a terrible shonen cliche "If you believe it anything can happen." Many a dead and unfulfilled man have left this world believing in similar fairy tales and the last thing we need is for this meme to propagate unto the next generation.
