i think kisame, unlike itachi he wouldn't plan on dieing and samehada can absorb immense amounts of chakra and heal from fatal wounds and water has an advantage over fire but sasuke's lightning would be really damaging to a water user but samehada could suck up anything in sasuke's arsenal short of kirin and maybe manda.

Does anyone believe Kisame can defeat Sasuke's Kirin ?

One of the fastest techniques in the series, and he could easily create one in the Land of Waves: It wasn't meant to be Kisame's advantage, but actually his disadvantage

if thts the cas he can absorb fire or rocks even water lol(sarcasim)kisame only absorbs chakra not techniques. he isnt pain dude. he cant absorb lightning let alone anything else....sasuke wins

dosent sasuke need heat 4 it 2 be super effective. he dosent have amaterasu 2 help him do kirin. plus it cums from the sky...how does waves buy into tht?

depends on if he could A.) stop sasuke from setting kirin up or at least defeat him before he can use it or B.) survive being hit by it.

if A then its a moot point, sasuke won't have alot of fire around in the land of waves like itachi's amaterasu outside supplying heat to the clouds and with kisame's ability to absorb ninjutsu at will could sasuke find the time and chakra to fire off powerful fireballs into the sky and wait long enough for it to form the clouds he needs.

if B then i doubt he'd survive it, Kisame survived Guy's 7th gate finishing blow that would have killed anyone else and was able to move still and a short while later break out of a stockade made from yamato's wood KG so hes obviously one of the toughest guys in the series but getting hit with all the lightning from a big thundercloud all at once might be pushing it lol.

guess you havn't seen the bee vs kisame fight then. he absorbed lighting like the first move. oh and he can absorb fire if its a ninjutsu

Kisame almost beat killer bee who basically beat the shit out of sasuke when he just got his mangekyou and killer bee also had lightning techniques and a bijuu kisame definitely wins just because he has samehada

umm then why can killer bee manipulate his lighting chakra into a pencil and make it have more penetration then a futon manipulated weapon? Huh!?
