At the last known sighting of Guren she had blue hair stuck up in a spiky, high ponytail at the back of her head, long strands of hair fell down on either side of her face to form a picture frame like detail around it. Her lips were painted bright red in direct contrast to the muted pale colour of her fair skin. Her outfit consisted of a green dress, sleeveless on the right side with a white camellia pattern where her left leg resided. Finishing off the look was a fluffy white collar and a pale rope around her waist. Underneath the dress she wore a red short-sleeved turtleneck, brown gloves and calf-high sandal boots.

Previously seen as a remorseless, mysterious and often sadistic woman, She is often also seen as being very vain using her Crystal mirror jutsu on occasion to check how she looks. Another trait known of Guren is that she is very self-reliant and does not like to appear weak or needy, she gives of an immense aura of pride and confidence in herself. Once selfish among all these things, now however Guren has changed. Her time spent with Yukimaru taught her to care and to feel. .

Background Information

Born in a small village with special powers Guren was often shunned by the people of her village and was seen as an outcast. Guren went on living her life as a child, not feeling there was anything she could do about her situation. But without looking for it, one day Guren received a lifeline in the form of Orochimaru. He had come to destroy her home village and everyone within it however, seeing Guren's powers he decided to spare her and instead offered her the chance to join him and enhance her abilities. Overcome with a thirst for power a young and naive Guren accepts his offer and follows Orochimaru away.
Some time later Guren was ordered by her new master to destroy another small village in a test of her powers to give him a read on her true potential. She accepted and overcame the village single handed, this however came at a price as she overused her abilities and passed out from exhaustion. Eventually Guren awoke, realizing she was in an unfamiliar home, a woman had found her, taken her in and healed her back to full strength (The woman later turning out to be Yukimaru's mother). Upon returning to Orochimaru, Guren was ordered by him to kill the woman who had cared for her in order to regain his trust, needing his acceptance Guren regretfully kills the woman and returns to Orochimaru's side quickly to become one of his most powerful and most loyal subordinates. This success led to her becoming offered the chance to become one of her masters 'vessels'. This however never came to pass as by the time she had arrived back at his side he had already switched bodies. Feeling no longer of use, Guren goes into Isolation.
After years in isolation Kabuto is sent by Orochimaru to fetch Guren, which he does and upon returning to Orochimaru's hideout Guren orders hundreds of his prisoners to battle to the death, the survivors becoming her team for her next mission.
While off on the mission Yukimaru gets sick and Guren is forced to care for him. During this time he tells her of how he was rejected by his village as a child and how he had no-one looking after him throughout his youth. Relating to his tales Guren cannot help but feel for the boy, in an act of kindness she crystalizes a White Camellia flower knowing that he loves them, along with this comes the promise that as long as she lives the flower can never wilt.
After a few days of wandering with her team (Yukimaru excluded) they come across the teams from the hidden leaf, Guren orders her men to retreat and draws the Konoha ninja into a trap whereby she manages to trap Hinata inside a large piece of crystal. Using Hinata as a hostage Guren prevents the Konoha ninja from following her men allowing them to get away safely. Before anything can be done however backup arrives from the leaf and break through her traps and defences, freeing Hinata and taking her to safety. Guren annoyed at their escape returns to her hideout to plan her next move.
When she returns to the hideout Kabuto is waiting for her and tells her of his new plan. The next day they set out to find the Three-tails. Upon discovering the location of the beast Guren battles it and attempts to seal it away using her crystals, the tailed beast however proves too strong and thwarts her attempts easily, as the beast rampages Guren, in a desperate attempt to keep Yukimaru safe, uses the last of her chakra and manages to save her team, when she wakes she is being treated by Yukimaru who has become sick again himself. soon after this discovery and finding out that it was a pill overdose from Kabuto that caused his sickness Guren meets Naruto whom causes her to doubt her life choices and the path she took with Orochimaru even more.
A couple of days pass with no incident, however this day brings the final confrontation with the Konoha ninja. The battle rages and Guren is forced into the defensive but manages to flee, pursued by Naruto Guren is forced to stop and Naruto tells her how he is determined to take Yukimaru from her no matter what, assuming he wants Yuki for the Three-tails she hurries back to protect him. upon her return she hears Yuki playing the grass whistle and comes to the realisation that it was her who killed his mother all that time ago and forced him to live lonely for his infant years. Sworn to make it up to him she vows to protect him no matter what therefore she confronts the Three-tails once again and with Naruto's help they defeat it and save Yukimaru.
During the battle with the Three-tails Guren decides that Naruto is worthy of taking Yukimaru from her and giving him a better life.
After this Guren decides to put her past behind her and to live the life of a hero.
