Crypts of the Immortals (A1)
Connected to the Fields of Suffering by a spacetime portal, the Crypts of the Immortals are a pocket dimension within Irkalla. The Crypts are a granite mausoleum that seems to span infinitely in all directions, filled with thousands of human granite and marble statues built in the likeness of past Immortal Humans. The Crypt is illuminated with sparse torches and sconces spread throughout, leaving it a dimly lit and ominous chamber within Irkalla. It is said that when an Immortal Human passed from the world their soul would rise to the moon, residing in Eanna for eternity. Now soulless, their bodies are laid to rest in the Crypts of the Immortals, buried beneath their respective statues. For those who never passed on, such as Imeroth, Marzan, or the Immortals on Kamiyasumi, their crypts remain empty. Save for one…
