*Saito sent his chakra into the ground, which in turn forced a pole-like rock to come out of it. Saito then picked up the staff and swung it around a bit to get a feel for it's weight and such. He then threw the staff at a tree, hitting almost exactly where he had aimed.*
Woah, that is pretty acurate. Saito said as he focused even more of his chakra into the earth, forcing more staffs out of the ground. Saito picked these staffs up too, then threw them at a much thicker tree. Only about 4 of the 7 hit the tree.
And just like you said, this version of the technique is much less accurate. Saito said as he turned back to look at you.
So, in battle I would probably use the less accurate version in which I launch more staffs at the opponent so I had time to set up for something better. If I were to use this technique offensively, I would use the accurate version and launch it at the opponent, same thing with the less accurate version. Using the staff as a weapon in close quarters is a waste of chakra, as a sword can do essentially the same things and cost no chakra. As you said, defending against both versions of this technique is easy enough. For the first version, I could use a fire jutsu of higher rank or equal rank (I havent learned any fire jutsu yet which causes an explosion if thats what you meant by physical power). For the second one, I could use the stationary version of fire ball jutsu, as it would probably be big enough to block the attack. Now, I don't find this technique all the interesting, and not too useful either, as other techniques can launch rocks at the opponent at higher speeds and more powerfully (I think). Also, swords can be used instead of the pole in a CQC fight, along with the fact that the other version of the technique isn't very accurate. Saito said.
______
Question : for the second version of the technique, the staffs aren't launched on their own correct? Also, the launches staffs would all be sent from the same general area if the user is throwing them, so a really wide range attack/defense wouldn't be necessary to defend right?
______
Now on to the next one. Saito said as he focused doton chakra into his arm. He slowly released it out of his arm, creating rocks which spun around it. Saito then sent more of his doton chakra out of his arm in an outwards direction, which also sent the rocks flying.
In battle, I probably wont use this, but if I were to I would use it as a distraction, while maybe a clone ran from behind or from a bind spot to attack. Offensively, as I said, I would really only use this as a distraction, maybe trying to hit them in the process too. I can defend against this technique in many ways, I could use a D rank water shield (because not each rock counts a d rank I'm pretty sure, just the technique as a whole. I could use a rock pillar if I really wanted to also. I dont really find this technique useful, as a kunai as you said or shuriken do the same thing basically. I do find it kind of cool though. Having the rocks circle my arm then shoot out at the opponent is just kind of interesting. Saito said.
