As Obito was standing still, something wasn't right. The terrain beneath him started to heat instantly, this was not a good sign. Noticing before the foot stomp and the fact that the ground heated, plus Obito being a fire specialist, he immediately came to a conclusion that the opponent was ready to release fire from the ground at any time. Obito slightly jumps in the air, by then the fire pillars would already form in a column formation. Obito titlted his head to his left and releases a thin, fast wind stream out of his mouth which'd move Obito from the direction the middle pillar was heading, this way Obito would avoid the fire. As he was still in midair (I suppose), not losing sight of Tobirama who just thrusted his arm towards, pointing out that his arm was also covered with lightning, Obito saw a massive lightning coming his way. Obito collects wind chakra and swings his arm in order to release blades of winds which merge with each other to create a truly big wind scythe, which clashes with the lightning, neautralizing it, and also succeddeding protecting Obito. As the latter is taken down by the gravity of earth, Obito stands still.
(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.
Note: The user must already be airborne to use
(Futon: Shinkūzan no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Vacuum Slash technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user waves his hand and creates multiple blades of wind, emerging to a single scythe of sharp air. The scythe was powerful enough to stop Susanno's movements, but wasn't able to break trough its defence.
(I'm not sure if jumping would be allowed, since I see people around considering it a freeform, but on the other side I've seen plethora of other people using that anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.)
The wind stream was the right technique to use I believe. The way you describe is also important, i.e the fact that I had to tilt my head to any of my side. The wind would not touch the fire columns, so it'd be safe to use it. It would be fatal if I'd use it in a straight arc since the fire would already consume the wind stream. As for the second technique, a S rank Raiton needs an A rank Wind, which is pretty basic anyway, nothing to add here.
