Crowning​

Chapter 1

The Arrival​

Azula, along with her best friends Ty Lee and Mai ,and the addition of her older brother Zuko, are on their way to the Capital of The Earth Kingdom "Ba Sing Se". A backup squad of Fire Nation Soldiers accompany them. While traveling in their advanced Fire Nation war balloon, they begin to recollect their memories of their last visit here.




Ty Lee: "Azula, why do we have to come here again?

Azula: "Ty Lee, it's not that we have to, but that we chose to. Remember how the Earth Kingdom needs a new King?

Ty Lee: "Yeah, but what does that have to do with us?

Azula: "You know what my dream is, don't you Ty Lee?

Ty Lee: "Yeah, to become Firelord! How could I forget?"

Azula: "Oh, you wouldn't. But anyways, to become Firelord I need to make the world know my name and tremble at the sight of me...or even better, at the mere sound of my name. If I become the new Earth Kingdom ruler, don't you think that would help me towards my goal?"

Zuko: "It's not all up to you Azula. Father said he'll be sending messengers to Ba Seng Se stating who is the new ruler of The Earth Kingdom two days after we arrive. And for all he knows, I killed The Avatar. I think I am just as much in line for the crown as you are."

Mai: "Zuko, don't turn this into something personal."

Azula: "Mai, it's always personal when it comes to what little Zuzu wants."

(Ty Lee laughs)

Zuko: "Don't call me that! And don't laugh at me Ty Lee!"

Ty Lee: Sorry, Zuko, but it was funny!"

Mai: "It was funny."

(Mai laughs very awkwardly and everyone stares at her in awkward silence for a few moments.)

Zuko: "Can't these things go any faster?"

(Zuko kicks the War balloon)






Meanwhile, unknown to the Fire Nation, their easy trip into Ba Seng Se may not be so simple after all. Something, or someone, is stirring up a rebellion.

Chapter 2
A Rebellion​

In the woods, Longshot, the current leader of The Freedom Fighters, and the remaining members, The Duke, Pipsqueak, and Smellerbee, are preparing to rid the world of The Fire Nation one last time.








Longshot: "Pipsqueak, I need you to gather more wood from the trees so I can have more arrows in my arsenal. The more we have, the longer we can fight."

Pipsqueak: "Yes sir!"

The Duke: "Can I come with him, sir?"

Longshot: "The faster we get the ammo, the faster we attack which means the faster the Fire Nation falls. Not a bad idea. Yes, you can go help Pipsqueak."

The Duke: "You give me too much credit sir!"

(The Duke gives off a small chuckle)

The Duke: "Thanks Longshot! I mean, sir!"

Longshot: "Anytime Duke."

(The Duke runs along to catch up with Pipsqueak)

Longshot: "Smellerbee, can you help me with this blasting jelly? Getting it precisely onto the arrows along with the matches sounds much easier than it actually is."

Smellerbee: "Coming sir!"







We rejoin Pipsqueak and The Duke who are in the pursuit of some wood for the making of arrows.



Pipsqueak: "It was nice of Longshot to let you come along."

The Duke: "He may be our new leader, but he's still one of us!"

Pipsqueak: "He talks alot more now."

The Duke: "Yeah, ever since....well, you know......he's been talking and giving orders non stop. It's kinda inspiring!"

Pipsqueak: "Yeah.......Hey look! Those trees look like they're going to fall down anytime now. Let's get to chopping, Duke!"

The Duke: "Gotcha, Pipsqueak! And by the way, it's The Duke!"






Back at the Freedom Fighter's camp site.....



Longshot: "Almost there...."

(The arrow breaks due to the miscalculation of the amount of blasting jelly)

Longshot: "Smellerbee!! Be more careful! We're lucky it didn't explode!"

Smellerbee: "I'm sorry....sir."

Longshot: "Please stop calling me that! My name isn't sir!"

Smellerbee: "I miss Jet!"



(A brief silence overcomes the two)


Longshot: "I'm sorry...Smellerbee. It's just that...It's so hard to battle a whole nation with just four people, but we have to. For our freedom...for Jet. You're not the only one who misses him. We all do, but do you think he would've wanted us to give up?

(Smellerbee begins to cry)

Smellerbee: "N-no....."

Longshot: "What was that, freedom fighter?

(Smellerbee wipes away her tears)

Smellerbee: "No!"

Longshot: "That's what I thought."

(They hug, while Pipsqueak and The Duke return with the wood)

The Duke: "Ew! They're hugging!"

Pipsqueak: "It's so...beautiful"

(The Duke nudges Pipsqueak with his elbow)

Pipsqueak: "Sorry..."

(Longshot and Smellerbee release their hug)

Longshot: "What are you looking at? Back to work guys!"

The Duke: "Aren't you going to kiss first?"

(Pipsqueak hits him in the back of the head with a small stick)

The Duke: "Ow!!!! Let's get back to work, Pipsqueak!"

Chapter 3
Ambush​

The Fire Nation's select group has nearly arrived to Ba Seng Se.....




Ty Lee: "There it is!"

(Ty Lee points to Ba Seng Se and we see a beautiful sky view of of the Earth Capital)

Mai: "Ba Seng Se....Zuko, didn't you and your uncle have a Tea Shop here?"

Zuko: "We are not stopping for tea!"

Mai: "Geez...you don't have to be so harsh."

Azula: "Really, Zuzu, calm down. It's not like Tea was the source of your Banishment or the permanent scar on your face."

Zuko: "Azula, do you think you can keep making fun of me?"

Mai: "It's just tea....Calm down Zuko."

Zuko: "I wouldn't be so angry, if it wasn't for Azula!"

Azula: "Yes, because I am the reason for all of your pain. Face it Zuzu, you're angry at everyone, but me."

Zuko: "Oh, really?!"

(Zuko makes a pose signaling he's going to fight Azula. Azula lays out her hand in a fighting motion in response.)

Azula: "Come and get it."

(Azula smiles)

Zuko: "Ahh!!!!!"

(Zuko goes to strike Azula, but before he begins to firebend, a portion of the upper part of the war balloon explodes.)

Ty Lee: "Woah!"

Mai: "Zuko!"

Azula: "Your accuracy is horrible....Now we're going to drown."

Zuko: "I didn't do anything!"

Mai: "Then how do you explain that?!"

(Mai points to the hole in the balloon)

Zuko: "It wasn't me! I promise!"




Four shadow figures arrive on the Fire Nation Army Ship that accompanied the Fire Nation teenagers.




Smellerbee: "Listen to scarface! He's telling the truth."

(Smellerbee jumps onto the slowly falling War Balloon)

The Duke: "C'mon Pipsqueak!"

Pipsqueak: "Alright!"

(The Duke and Pipsqueak jump down)

Longshot: "This time...."

(Longshot jumps down)

Longshot: "The Fire Nation falls!"

Ty Lee: "I like your hat!"

Azula: "What did the Fire Nation ever do to you?"

Zuko: "Does that question really need an answer? The Fire Nation hasn't exactly been the-"

Azula: "Dear brother, that was called sarcasm. Learn it."

Mai: "You two do know the war balloon is falling...."

Zuko: "I guess these guys are here for a fight. Might as well give them one."

Mai: "Guess not..."

Ty Lee: "Look, a little boy."

Smellerbee: "I'm a girl! Thank you very much!"

Ty Lee: "You're not a very pretty girl, are you?"

Smellerbee: "Well this ugly girl can kick your butt!"

(Smellerbee runs at Ty Lee, but Longshot stops her)

Longshot: "Hold on, Smellerbee. Going into a battle without a plan isn't exactly the best idea."

Mai: "Listen to the guy who jumped onto a falling War Balloon...I'm sure he knows how to handle things."

Longshot: "Pipsqueak! You handle the sarcastic one. The Duke, you can have the one with the scar. Smellerbee! You-

Smellerbee: "I call the girly girl wearing pink!"

Longshot: "Okay. I guess that leaves me with-"

Azula: "ME!"

(Azula shoots her notorious blue fire threw her fist at Longshot, but Pipsqueak uses his signature Wooden Club to counter the flame away.)

Mai: "I think you forgot who that leader of yours paired you up with."

(Mai shoots her shuriken stars at Pipsqueak, but he dodges them. Meanwhile, Smellerbee runs at Ty Lee with two sharpened sticks. Ty Lee avoids the blows.)

Ty Lee: "Aw, so cute! You should really put those sticks down or you'll get hurt."

(Ty Lee starts striking back, aiming for pressure joints, but Smellerbee uses her sticks to block the punches. Zuko runs at The Duke while shooting fire using his finger tips. The Duke jumps onto the balloon's rafters. Zuko goes to shoot him down....)

Mai, while dodging Pipsqueak's wooden club,: "Zuko, don't firebend or you'll burn the whole balloon down. It's already falling....don't make it fall even faster..."

(Zuko pulls out his swords and tries to cut The Duke down.)

The Duke: "Woah! You're pretty handy with those swords! I want one!"

Zuko: "Then come down her and TRY TO GET ONE!"

(Zuko jumps and tries to get The Duke, but The Duke pulls out his knives and blocks the attack while climbing on top of the balloon.)

Zuko: "Get back here!"

(Zuko follows The Duke and begins to climb to the top of the balloon. Down on the platform, Longshot is firing one of his bows covered in blasting jelly at Azula. Azula notices it has blasting jelly on it and narrowly dodges the bow.)

Azula: "Blasting Jelly? Interesting...."

(Azula makes a fireball and throws it at Longshot, but he rolls out of the way and launches another bow. Azula runs and jumps over the bow and casts a small flame from her finger in the bows direction, causing an explosion behind her. Azula then, still in mid-air, attempts to land a leg drop wrapped in fire on Longshot, but he manages to avoid it by doing a backflip. While in the process of the backflip, Longshot shoots an arrow at Azula. Unable to avoid it due to just landing, she awaits the arrow, defenseless. Mai makes the save by using her shuriken star to cast the bow away.)

Mai: "You need to be more careful."

(Just then, Pipsqueak, behind Mai, swipes the club at her in a sideways motion, trying to hit her spine, but Ty Lee tackles Mai out of the way.)

Ty Lee: "You need to be more careful too!"

Mai: "Thanks."

Ty Lee: "Don't mention it!"

(Smellerbee runs at Ty Lee while Pipsqueak runs at Mai.)

Smellerbee: "You're going down!"

(Back on the roof, Zuko clashes his swords with The Duke's knives and pushes him down. He then slashes the roof's ground while walking up to the downed The Duke. He goes to finish him off by lunging his swords at The Duke's abdomen, but The Duke uses his feet to trip Zuko which results in Zuko dropping his swords. The Duke grabs one of the swords and goes after the other. He grabs it, but Zuko grabs his arm.)

Zuko: "Let the sword go, or you'll loose your arm!"

(The Duke uses Zuko's other sword and slashes Zuko's arm. Zuko dodges, but it puts a rip on Zuko's shirt around his shoulder.)

The Duke: "There's more where that came from! Hy-ya!"

(The Duke goes to attack Zuko, but Zuko picks up his other sword and they clash. Zuko kicks The Duke in the gut, thus kicking him away. They charge at each other again. Zuko goes to strike The Duke's legs, but The Duke jumps and tries to cut Zuko's stomach. Zuko uses his free hand to make a fire shield around his stomach which protects him. Zuko spins his sword around like a baton, mixes it with fire, and walks toward The Duke while The Duke backs away.)

The Duke: "Uh, a little help up here!"

Pipsqueak, who shouts from the bottom platform and while also dodgeing Mai's shuriken stars,: "I'm coming!"

The Duke: "I need someone lighter!"

Pipsqueak, while running at Mai: "Oh man.......Smellerbee! Help The Duke!

Smellerbee, who is avoiding Ty Lee's fists: Coming!

(Smellerbee runs up the rafters.)

Ty Lee: "Get back here!"

(Ty Lee begins to chase Smellerbee, but Pipsqueak gets in her way.)

Pipsqueak: "You're pretty...."

Ty Lee: "Ew!!!

(Ty Lee jumps up and uses her feet to hook onto the rafters. She flips up and begins walking on them. Pipsqueak goes to knock her down, but Mai rapidly throws her shuriken stars at Pipsqueak, focusing his attention on her.)

Ty Lee, who smiles: "Thanks Mai!"

Mai: "Just go."

(Ty Lee runs up to the roof, while Azula creates two fire swords in her hands.)

Azula: "Little Zuzu can do this....Shouldn't be too hard. In fact, not only can I do this, I can do it even better!"

Longshot, who's preparing a bow: "Save the speech for someone who cares."

(Longshot shoots a bow, but Azula extends her fire swords and ignites the jelly on the bow which explodes inside the balloon's platform. Longshot is sent off the balloon, but barely holds on to the edge of the balloon via a safety rope. Azula covers her face, while Mai is knocked into Pipsqueak who then falls onto her.)

Mai: "Get off me!"

(The explosion sends the roof platform rocking. Zuko holds his ground, along with The Duke and SmellerBee, but Ty Lee falls backwords and off the roof, but Zuko drops his sword to grab her hand.)

Ty Lee: "Thanks Zuko."

The Duke: "Now's our chance, Smellerbee!"

(They run at Zuko who has his back turn and guard down, but Ty Lee notices this and jumps over Zuko and hits The Duke and Smellerbee's back pressure points. They fall down, dropping their weapons.)

Zuko: "I owe you one Ty Lee."

Ty Lee, who smiles: "Consider us even!"

(Zuko and Ty Lee walk up to their downed opponents, going to finish them off. Meanwhile, below them, Azula walks over to finish off Longshot and Mai continues to fight Pipsqueak. Pipsqueak is backed into a corner by Mai's shuriken stars, and she manages to trap him throwing the shuriken stars at his arms and legs, thus making him drop his weapen."

Mai: "This-"

Zuko: "Fight-"

Ty Lee: "Is-"

Azula, who gives an evil smile: "Over!"

(They each go to finish off their opponents, but the other Fire Nation Balloon rams into them.)

Azula: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

(The door of the Fire Nation Balloon opens, and a shadowy figures appears and gives a smile showing off the twig in his mouth.)

Shadow Figure: "Saving my friends!"

(Shock and awe grows on The Freedom Fighter's faces)

Pipsqeuak: "No....way..."

The Duke: "Can't be........"

Smellerbee: "It is....."

Longshot: "....J-Jet...."

(The shadow figure walks out of the darkness, holding too hook swords, revealing himself to be the former leader of the Freedom Fighters.)


Jet: "The one and only."

Chapter 4
Reunion​

Azula: "Well, who do we have here?"


Jet: "The names Jet, but you can call me the reason for your downfall. But, I prefer Jet. I think it's easier for you Fire Nation scum to comprehend."


Azula: "Fire...Nation...TRASH!??! I'll have you know we are from The Royal Family! Zuko, tell him!"


Zuko: "....Jet. I'll take it you still remember me."


Jet: "How could I forget the guy who got me arrested my the Di Lee? You know, they used mind control on me, but I NEVER forgot you and your uncle. I knew you were from the Fire Nation, but no one believed me. Not even my Freedom Fighters.....But hey, I'm very forgivable! And I've been waiting for this rematch."


Mai: "Zuko, why am I not surprised he's looking for you?"


Zuko: "You heard him. He was too weak to defeat me, so he was put in prison."


(Zuko turns his head back to Jet.)


Zuko: "Don't worry Jet. Nothing has changed. I am still better than you!"


Jet: "I'm sorry, what'd you say?"


Zuko: "I said...I'M BETTER THAN YOU!!"


(Zuko sends a huge blast of fire at Jet, who avoids the blast by hooking his swords to the roof of the balloon, and flipping to the platform. The fire creates a hole in the door, but no internal damage is done.)


Ty Lee: "Zuko, I don't think you should fire at that balloon like that."


Jet: "Listen to the cutie, Zuko. This balloon here, may be your only way of escaping this mess."


Azula: "Yeah, yeah, she's gorgeous. However, this Jet, has a valid point. We have to get aboard that balloon."


Mai: "Did you figure that all on your own, Azula?"


Azula: "Mai....Now is NOT the time for your attitude!"


Mai: "Whatever..."


Zuko: "Enough bickering! We're getting on that balloon!"


Ty Lee: "Uh, guys...Where'd he go?"


(Zuko, Mai, and Azula look on in shock as Jet is gone. Seizing this opportunity, Jet jumps on the roof and trips Zuko and Ty Lee using his hook swords. He grabs Smellerbee and The Duke and jumps back to the other ship, unseen by the Fire Nation teens.")


Zuko: "Urgh! He got us! We were tricked!"


Ty Lee: "But he won't get us a second time!"


(Zuko and Ty Lee get to their feet.)


Azula: "Be on your toes, Zuko! You two Ty Lee!"


Mai: "He's coming back."


(Jet swings a rope and uses his hooks to glide across it. Halfway across the rope, Azula lights it on fire. Shock grows on Jet's face while a sadistic smile grows on Azulas. Jet falls from the rope.)


Azula: "That was rather boring."


Jet, who's hooks are hanging the edge of the platform: "Show's not over yet!"


(Jet springs up to the platform and runs to Azula. She swipes fire at him and he slides under it and trips her by swiping her right foot out from under her. Mai throws four star shuriken at Jet, but he deflects them using his hooks. He jumps up and hooks onto the rafters and swings over Mai and release Pipsqueak by slashing the shuriken that are holding him against the wall. Jet hands Pipsqueak his signature wooden club.)


Jet: "Go get Longshot! I'll handle them!"


Pipsqueak: "O-okay, Jet!"


(Jet dashes at Mai, deflecting the shuriken in the process, while Pipsqueak goes to get Longshot. Azula fires multiple blasts of fire at Pipsqueak, but he swipes them away. Jet jumps over Mai, kicking her in the back and knocking her down, and runs towards Azula. Azula stares her opponents down, and then decides to attack a dangling Longshot. As soon as she turns around and lights a blue flame at the tip of her fingers, Jet tackles her down. Pipsqueak helps Longshot up and they both stare at Jet.)


Jet: "Go! Now!"


(Longshot fires a rope attached to a bow, and he and Pipsqueak glide across the rope.)


Azula: "Get off me, you filthy peasant!"


(Azula throws fire at Jet's face, through the palm of her hands, but Jet does a backflip and barely dodges the flames.)


Jet: "Whew, that was a close one.)


(Zuko and Ty Lee make their way down to the bottom platform, and along with Mai, corner jet from 3 sides. Azula gets up to make it four.)


Zuko: "Nowhere to run now, Jet! Let's finish this!"


Azula: "Hold on brother. I want this one."


Jet: "I feel honored that someone royal wants me, but since it's Fire Nation trash, I think I'll make my exit!"


(Jet runs at Azula and throws one of his hook swords at her. She ducks, but the sword has a rope attached to it. Jet attaches his other hook sword to it, glances at Azula, smiles, and makes his way back to the other war balloon.)


Zuko: "You're not getting away!"


(Zuko runs towards Jet with fire coming out of his fists, and goes to throw it at Jet, but Azula accidently trips Zuko making him fall off the balloon, but she grabs him by the back of his shirt. She pulls him back up while Jet and the Freedom Fighters stare at the Fire Nation team. Jet stares into Azula's eyes before signaling Longshot to make their departure.)


Zuko: "WHAT WAS THAT?! I HAD HIM!"


Mai: "I don't blame Zuko this time...Azula, what happened?"


Azula: "It's simple. Don't act like it isn't. I miscalculated. I didn't know Zuzu was behind me. Instead of getting mad at me, he's the one to blame for our failure!"


Zuko: "What? Me shouting at the top of my lungs wasn't enough of a warning?"


Ty Lee: "He was pretty loud, Azula."


Azula: "Well, then, if that's how it is....."


(Azula hugs Zuko, while Mai and Ty Lee look on in shock.)


Azula: "Sorry Zuzu. Seems as If I made a mistake. It won't happen again, I assure you."


Zuko: "Please...let go of me...."


(Azula releases the hug.)


Ty Lee: "Aw! That was so cute Azula! You do care about your big brother after all!"


Azula: "Be quiet Ty Lee....or you're next."


Ty Lee: "Are you threatening me with a hug?"


(Ty Lee happily runs up and hugs Azula.)


Mai: "Sorry to ruin you're little hug party...., but in about ten minutes, we'll be drowning. You know how much I would love to do that at this point..."


Azula: "There's a mountain over there we can firebend too. Zuko, grab Mai. Ty Lee, you're with me."


(They use their fire as jets by shooting it from their feet and glide across the sky.)


(Midway in the air, Ty Lee begins to talk to Azula.)


Ty Lee: "Not that I don't love your hugs or anything, but it's such a drastic change from your normal aurora. Normally, you're calm, but when you hugged Zuko you seemed...confused or something."


Azula: "Well, I normally don't make mistakes. So it was confusing to say the least. And hugging Zuzu wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but it was the only way to calm him down. I figured I try something nice for once, no matter how sick it made me feel."


Zuko: "I heard that!"


(Ty Lee laughs and smiles at Zuko, and then Azula.)


Ty Lee: "I like this new nice Azula! But it's kind of scary...."


(Azula gives a small chuckle to Ty Lee, and Ty Lee returns the favor.)

Chapter 5​

Freedom Fighters Reunite​

Onboard the stolen Fire Nation War Balloon, Smellerbee, Pipsqueak, and The Duke fall asleep due to exhaustion and shock of knowing their comrade has returned. However, Longshot, who is controlling the ship, and Jet stay up simply using their adrenaline.


Longshot: "........."


Jet: "Did you see that? I took on the Fire Nation's best and came out on top! This is huge for the Freedom Fighters!"


Longshot: "........"


Jet: "I can't wait till we fight them again! By the way, how's The Avatar and his group do-"


Longshot: "What is wrong with you? You show up out of no where and act as if nothing has happened! Where have you been? What happened to you? Jet, you-


Jet: "I know...But I didn't...I'll explain the whole story when we land. Until then, let's just enjoy this....reunion..I'm going to check on the gang's injuries. I'll be back soon. Don't ram us into a cliff or anything."


(Jet smiles)


Longshot: "...Okay .....Jet..."


(Jet leaves, closing the door behind him.)




Back to The Fire Nation.....



Zuko: "This mountain....IS TOO BIG!"


Mai: "You get angry at everything Zuko...although this time, I can't disagree."


Azula: "Atleast we have a pathway.....To be part of the royal family and have to deal with this terrain...


Zuko: "Yeah, Azula, it's horrible. You would know of course. You were banished from the Fire Nation for THREE YEARS!.....Anyways, I know how the terrain works better than you. Let me lead the way."


Mai: "Looks like Ty Lee beat you too it...."


(Zuko and Azula look up to see Ty Lee at the top of the mountain.)


Ty Lee: "Are you guys coming or what?"


Zuko: ".....We're on our way....How does she do that?"


Mai: "Azula, care to-"


(Mai stops mid-sentence to witness Azula frantically and viciously climbing up the rugged mountain. Zuko watches in awe As Azula arrives at the top.)


Ty Lee: "Wow, Azula! You really are perfect!"


Azula: "Let's get moving."


Ty Lee: "What about Mai and Zuko?"


Azula: "They can catch up."


(Azula walks away while Ty Lee stares at her and then down at Zuko and Mai, with a worried look on her face. She then, runs after Azula.)


Zuko: "Are they leaving US?!"


Mai: "Apparently..."


Zuko: "C'mon Mai! Let's get a move on!"


Mai: "Or we could save our energy and slowly walk up the path...Atleast it'll be just us."


Zuko: "Good idea!"


(Zuko puts his arm around Mai and they head up the path. Meanwhile, Longshot has landed the Fire Nation's War Balloon. He then locates Jet, asleep on the roof.)




Longshot: "Jet, we've landed. I'll wake up the rest of the group."


Jet: "Heh...heh..ha..ha..hahaha....."


Longshot: "Jet.....are you okay?"


Jet, who rubs his eyes: "Hm? What?"


Longshot: "I'm going to wake up the rest of the gang. We've landed. Are you sure you're okay?"


Jet: "Yeah...Yeah, I'm fine! Just a little tired from fighting!"


Longshot: "Take some rest. You deserve it."


(Longshot leaves and Jet pulls his twig out of his mouth and stares at the sky. After some silence, he puts it back in, and goes back to rest. Back to the Fire Nation teens, we join Azula walking with Ty Lee. They are in Ba Seng Se and are going to the palace.)


Ty Lee: "Azula, mind if I ask you something?"


Azula: "Not at all, Ty Lee."


Ty Lee: "What...um...happened to you earlier? You weren't like yourself. I know you said it's because you made a mistake, but it's not like you to do that. Actually, anyone wouldn't have made that mistake, especially you."


Azula: "Are you comparing me to other people?"


Ty Lee: "No, Azula! You know there's only one you! But something was wrong...what was it?"


Azula: "Well, if you must know...I had a strange feeling that blinded me in battle. I've never felt it before. Well, I have, once at The Beach, but this time, it was real."


Ty Lee: "Are you talking about.....the L word?!"


(Ty Lee quickly runs infront of Azula.)


Ty Lee: "You like someone, don't you?!


Azula: "No, I don't. I don't know....I can't like him. He's-"


(Zuko and Mai walk up to Azula and Ty Lee. Ty Lee gets an annoyed look on her face, instantly.)


Zuko: "What's wrong with you?"


Ty Lee: "I-"


Azula: "She's annoyed because it took you two ages to get here...Mai, perhaps you need to loose a few pounds."


(Zuko gets an angry expression on his face now.)


Zuko: "Hey! Take that back Azula!"


(Mai reaches and grabs his arm, pulling it down from Azula's face.)


Mai: "Zuko, I don't care...But thanks for standing up for me."


(Mai kisses Zuko.)


Azula: "Your love sickens me..."


(Ty Lee gives a soft laugh and a little glance at Azula.)


Azula: "We're almost at the palace. Come on, everyone. I have a crown to claim.


(Azula lets Mai and Zuko pass her, but grabs Ty Lee's arm.)


Azula: "You tell anyone about this and I'll-"


Ty Lee: "Don't worry, Azula. I won't mention it again!"


(Azula smiles and walks away with Ty Lee following.)


Ty Lee, whispering: "Is he cute?"


(Azula glances back at Ty Lee with a very intense stare.)


Azula: ".......Maybe....."


(Ty Lee squees with joy and smiles.)



In the woods, we rejoin the awakened Freedom Fighters sitting around a campfire.




Jet, who crosses his arms while laying back against a tree: "I bet you guys want to know exactly how I got here, huh?"


Longshot: "Well, the thought has crossed our minds."


The Duke: "It doesn't matter! I'm glad you're back!


(The Duke runs up to hug Jet, but Smellerbee grabs his arm, restraining him.)


Smellerbee: "Jet....we're happy you're back, but you're supposed to be....dead. How are you even alive? We need an explanation."


Jet: "I thought you'd say that. Well, you guys are in for one heck of a story. Sure you want to stay and listen?"


Longshot: "Jet, get to the point already."


Jet: "Man, you talk alot more these days! I like it! But you're right. Well, here I go.....In Ba Seng Se, when we fought the Di Lee, I was seriously injured, as you guys know, but don't forget what I told you and Katara. I said I'll be okay, and I am. When Aang and group left, you guys stayed with me. Longshot, no one here knows what I am going to say here, but you.


*FLASHBACK*
(Jet is laying on the ground while Smellerbee, The Duke, and Pipsqueak is looking for an exit. Longshot holds up his arrow and goes to make an exit, but Jet motions him to come closer.)


Jet, whispering: "Longshot....this..is it."


Longshot: Jet, Katara healed you. You will live."


Jet: "My injuries...are internal and beyond...her healing powers. I'm done for man.....But get the gang and leave. I don't....need to let them see me like this. Do me a favor. Take my place....And be the new leader."


Longshot: "Jet. I-"


Jet: "Go! Get out now! If you guys stay, then the Freedom Fighters die here! Don't let our dreams die!"


Longshot: "Okay....Jet..."


(Longshot gathers Pipsqueak, Smellerbee, and The Duke and makes an exit using his arrow and Pipsqueak's club.)


Smellerbee: "What about Jet?!"


Longshot: "He's.....(Looks back at Jet who stares at Longshot).....Let's go. No questions asked!'


(They each walk through the door in single file, each looking back at Jet when they exit.)


*FLASHBACK OVER*



Jet: "This is where it gets a little interesting. I closed my eyes and just went to sleep. I woke up i Di Lee custody. They treated my wounds, which was great and all, but these weren't the normal Di Lee. They had a new leader, I think. All I know is, it was someone of higher power in the Fire Nation. I got out by taking one of the guards uniforms. Halfway out, I realized I was back at Lake Lagai, but it was different...In a different place...A different feeling.....But it didn't matter. I got out of there. I didn't know where I was until I talked to a store merchant. I was at Omashu. It was full of Fire Nation soldiers, but empty of residents. It was easy to move around there. No one suspected someone anybody was there. I lived there for awhile. I decided to leave after I thought of a full proof plan to help Aang and Katara defeat The Di Lee and The Fire Nation.....I received news he was killed...so I went to back Ba Seng Se to see if I could gather any information about him and you guys. I didn't forget my friends. I overheard a Di Lee Agent say that the Fire Nation's princess and prince was on there way home. I decided to attack when they returned, so I hid in the forest for awhile. Then, basically, I'm fighting the Fire Nation trying to save you guys. Do you guys have any news on Aang, by the way?"


Longshot: "No. I've heard rumors he was alive, but the girl we faced, the princess of The Fire Nation, Azula, was the one who killed him. Her and her friends may know the truth..."


Smellerbee: "Jet! I knew you'd be alive!"


The Duke: "We never gave up hope!"


Pipsqueak: "We're all a family again."


Longshot: "Jet, I'll admit I gave up hope....but I am not really surprised you're back. Now, leader, what do we do?


Jet, who gives a smirk: "For starters, we need to gather information on-"


Smellerbee: "The Fire Nation?"


Longshot: "They are here to become the new rulers of the capital. I thought you knew they were coming, Jet?"


Jet: "Not really, I had to hide every second. I didn't have time to exactly find out when and where they'd be coming back. Consider it luck, I saw them today. Anyways, they want the crown huh? I say we attack them when they are off guard and asleep at the palace."


Longshot: "Jet, they're never off guard. But, we have two days to attack them before a new king is crowned."


Jet: "Or queen."


Longshot: "You get the point.....I overheard the Di Lee say in two days a Fire Nation messenger will come. So, we have two days to attack. Tonight, we rest. Tomorrow day, we stock up on supplies. That night they'll have some type of celebration. We should attend."


The Duke: "Rumor has it, they're having a dance party. Creepy, right?"


Longshot: "Then, we need some masks. Jet, you and I can attend this dance. Smellerbee, Pipsqueak, and The Duke can be on standby outside the palace. We can gather information, and if we want, attack. The next night, at the crowning of the new ruler, we attack and defeat the Fire Nation's select group. The princess, The Prince, and their friends."


Jet: "Nice plan. Seems like you really stepped up LongShot."


Longshot: "Thanks, Jet. I learned from the best."


Jet: "Everyone, let's get some rest. Tomorrow, our plan of taking down The Fire Nation, begins!"


(They raise their hands and cheer, just like the old days of The Freedom Fighters.)

Chapter 6
Arrival at The Palace​

We join the Fire Nation teens walking up the steps to the palace.....



Ty Lee: "Wow! This place is just as beautiful as I remember it! I can just feel all the positive energy!

Zuko: "Because taking over cities and controlling people is so positive, isn't it Ty Lee?"

Mai: "Zuko, why do you always bash the Fire Nation?"

Zuko: "Because I know I can do better than my father. He failed as a father and as a Firelord!"

Azula: "He made one good decision. Banishing you."

*Zuko gets in Azula's face*

Zuko: "I don't care if there is Fire Nation soldiers and the Di Lee everywhere. Make one more remark about my banishment and you'll regret it."

Azula: "Ah, Zuko, you need to lighten up. It's over. Everyone is happy you're back."

*Zuko gets out of Azula's face, but then she gets in Zuko's face*

Azula: "And if you get in MY face again, you'll live to regret it, brother."

*Azula steps backwards, out of his face and glances over at Mai*

Azula: "Mai, learn to control your boyfriend from now on....That is, if you truly care about him."

Mai: "Azula, you don't fear me, but Zuko, please calm down. These outbursts of anger are not necessary. "

Zuko: "She starts it."

Azula: "You're older than me, yet you act so childish."

Zuko: "Well, this child has no problem of taking you on!"

Ty Lee: "There goes the positive energy...."

Zuko: "What did you say?!"

Mai: "Zuko...."

Zuko: "What?! Ty Lee thinks she can just stand there in her little perfect world. Wake up! This world isn't perfect! It's horrible! Stop being so happy!

Ty Lee: "Stop being so angry....."

Zuko: "Angry? Angry?! You haven't seen angry!"

*Zuko breathes fire into the air and walks towards Ty Lee*

Zuko: "You are not normal! You are too happy and so cheerful! Life is cruel! Look at my face! This scar is proof that life has wronged me! I used to be happy....then I got this scar....Maybe you'd like one to match!"

*Zuko lights fire in his hand, but someone unexpected grabs his arm from behind him.*

Azula: "Get out of Ty Lee's face and leave her alone. Zuko, I know you have your own problems, but don't take it out on us. Like you said at The Beach, you're only angry at yourself. Not Ty Lee. Not Mai. Not even me. But, if you want to act so powerful by attacking a girl, then don't attack Ty Lee. Attack me. I deserve it. I haven't been the best sister ever, but let me remind you of something. I will not stand by when you attack me, just like I won't let you threaten Ty Lee. I will have no hesitation of killing you...just like I did with The Avatar."

*Zuko's face becomes a mixture of fear, guilt, and anger. Azula lets him go and he stares at the ground for a few moments*

Zuko: "Ty Lee....I'm sorry. Azula's....right. I am angry at myself, not you.*

Ty Lee: "It's okay, Zuko.*

Zuko: "No, no it's not. I shouldn't treat you guys like this because of my own problems. Azula, you're my sister. Ty Lee, you're my friend. And Mai, I love you. I shouldn't be so angry all the time, but I am. I'm sorry."

Mai: "Zuko.....I love you too."

*They hug*

Ty Lee: "Wow, that was deep Zuko. Thank you and apology excepted!"

Azula: "What an amazing and heartfelt story. Now can we go to the palace?"

*They head up the steps and onto the platform, where they are greeted by a man*

Man: "Hello, I've been expecting you. My name is Suzon."

*Ty Lee giggles*

Zuko: "What was your name again?"

Suzon: "Suzon."

*Ty Lee laughs harder*

Azula: "Why did your parents name you that?"

Suzon: "What's wrong with my name?"

Azula: "Nothing is wrong with your name....Suzon."

*Ty Lee laughs even harder*

Mai: "Can we get moving before Ty Lee laughs herself to death...."

Suzon: "I am the formal general of the Ba Se Seng army. It's a pleasure to meet the Fire Nation's best. Which one of you will be accepting the crown?"

Azula: "It's undecided as of now, but you'll know in two days when a messenger arrives."

Suzon: "Ah, I see, now let me show you into your rooms."

Azula: "Okay...Suzon*

*Ty Lee drops to the floor laughing so hard*

Suzon: "What's wrong with her?"

Azula: "She'll be fine."

*Azula, Mai and Zuko follow Suzon into the place while Ty Lee stays on the floor laughing*

Ty Lee: "Suzon! Ha! That's a girls name!

*Ty Lee laughs*

Ty Lee: "Mai, wasn't that funny?"

*Ty Lee looks around to see nobody around her*

Ty Lee: "Guys?...Wait for me!"

*Ty Lee gets up, stands on her hands and walks inside the palace*


In the palace........


Suzon: "Prince Zuko, you and Mai will have the deluxe room. It was made by the king himself. Well, he didn't really make it....He hired people to do it for him.....You will find your room to your liking. There is two beds in there. I'd pick the one on the left. Has a nice view of the Fire Nation flag."

Zuko: "Hear that Azula? I am getting Kingly treatment already!"

Suzon: "Princess Azula, you and your friend Ty Lee will have the King's room. We had to remove his bed though. He took it with him when he departed. So, we made to new custom beds for you and your friend."

Azula: "The King's room? Very fitting, wouldn't you agree Zuko?"

*Zuko's face fills with a humorious anger*

Zuko: "That doesn't prove anything!"

*Ty Lee walks up to the group and flips to her feet*

Ty Lee: "What room do I get? I hope it was the kings! I heard it has the cutest wallpape and the softest pillows!"

*Zuko facepalms and goes to his room, shutting the door while Ty Lee stares in shock.*

Ty Lee: "Was it something I said?"

*Azula smiles*

Azula: "Yes."


Later that night, in Zuko and Mai's room where Zuko and Mai are watching the sky are while lying in the bed*


Zuko: "Tomorrow is going to suck."

Mai: "Why's that?

Zuko: "Tomorrow is the celebration, which means they're going to have a dance. Since, I'm the Prince I'll have to dance with the spotlight on me while everyone watches. I hate dancing!"

Mai: "Well, you won't be alone. I'll be dancing with you."

Zuko: "I thought you hated dancing?"

Mai: "I do. Tomorrow, we can hate it together."

*Zuko smiles, they kiss, and look back up towards the sky*


Over in The King's room.....Ty Lee is on the balcony's rail, sitting, while Azula stands against the wall.

Ty Lee: "This view is amazing!"

Azula: "I suppose it is rather....amazing."

Ty Lee: "Azula, you seem down! What's wrong?"

Azula: "Why can you read my emotions so well?"

Ty Lee: "When I was in the circus, I knew exactly how to entertain the crowd! I knew what they wanted and what they didn't want. I had a connection to them. And since your my best freind, I know exactly when you're down! So, what's wrong?"

Azula: "Well, if you must know, I am worried about the celebratory dance tomorrow."

Ty Lee: "You, worried? Why? Afraid to dance?"

Azula: "No. Dancing doesn't fear me. It's just that....I'm the princess and I'll have to dance with everyone watching. Zuko has to do the same. Only difference is, he has Mai. And no guy would dance with me. Remember Chen? He ran away after we kissed."

Ty Lee: "But we got him back! His house was ruined! And Azula, Chen was stupid. You weren't being youself anyways. You listened to my advice about guys. You're not me. You're better than me! Your Azula, princess of the Fire Nation! You'll find a guy to dance with you!

Azula: "Do you really think so?"

Ty Lee: "Yeah! But if not, I'll dance with you!"

Azula: "Thank you Ty Lee. Your advice and speech really helps. But no, you can dance with Suzon."

*Ty Lee laughs*

Ty Lee: "Maybe! Azula, I'm proud of you. Ever since coming here, you've been more...free. More girly..."

Azula: "Girly? I can't be girly! I am going to be Firelord one day."

Ty Lee: "This is a good thing! You've been so ruling and uptight all your life because you're perfect and you want to be Firelord. I think you need to take a break. Tomorrow, we go shopping!"

*Azula sighs*

Azula: "What did I do to get a friend like you?...."

Ty Lee: "Wait, is that a compliment?"

Azula: "Yes. Thank you Ty Lee."

*Azula hugs Ty Lee, who smiles and over excitedly hugs her back*

Azula: "Ty Lee.....let go of me."

Ty Lee: "This is the second time I've hugged you today! Third in my whole lifetime! Azula, you're my best friend and my idol! Let me enjoy the hug!*

Azula: "Fine....."

*Ty Lee releases the hug*

Azula: "I swear Ty Lee.....You are a bit weird sometimes."

Ty Lee: "Hey, that-"

Azula: "That was a compliment. Now go let's go to sleep. We have shopping to do tomorrow. And by the way, if I wake up and you're not in your bed and you're out shopping without me, you'll regret it. Goodnight Ty Lee."

*Azula goes to sleep in her bed*

Ty Lee: "Goodnight Azula!"

*Ty Lee runs to her bed, covered in pink pillows and blankets, and goes to sleep*

Chapter 7

Preperations​

As a beautiful morning dawns on Ba Sing Se, we join the Fire Nation Teens in the begining of a day they will never forget. They day of the dance....





The dining room is full of delectable breakfast foods, as well as the host himself.


Suzon: "My beloved guests, breakfast is ready!"

(Zuko, supporting an angry expression, appears first from the darkened hallway. Mai is seconds behind him.)

Zuko: *Yawns* "Could you be any louder?"

Mai: "Zuko, it's too early for your temper. Let's just eat..."

(Mai puts her arm around Zuko's back, and his face looses it's normal angry expression.)

Zuko: "Okay...He shouldn't have been so loud though. People are trying to rest! And what do you mean 'my temper?' I don't have a temper!"

(Mai locks her emotionless eyes with Zuko and he quietly sits down. As Mai takes her seat next to Zuko, Ty Lee comes running in.)

Ty Lee: "Morning everyone! Wow! This food looks delicious!"

Suzon: "Was I that loud, sir?"

Zuko: "Not even close."

Mai: "What's gotten into you? I didn't know food made you so.....happy."

Ty Lee: "No, Mai, it's not food! I'm so happy because Azula and I are going shopping later today! Do you want to go?"

Mai: "No, but thanks anyways...I guess."

Zuko: "Azula is going shopping? My sister Azula? My evil sister Azula is going shopping? Ha! That'll be the day."

Mai: "She's still a girl, Zuko-"

Zuko: "-Not a normal one."

Mai: "Although...it is odd for her to go out....shopping."

Ty Lee, who's face switches from happy to frustated: "Azula is normal! She's the most amazing girl ever! Just because she's the princess of the Fire Nation, she isn't normal? You're the prince! You might as well be calling yourself not normal too!"

Zuko: "She is-"

Ty Lee: "I'm not finished yet. Don't get me wrong Zuko, I'm not calling you Azula. You aren't as talented as she is! You're angry and sad all the time! Azula has more composure than you. She's perfect while you're still a mess."

Mai: "Ty Lee...."

Zuko: "Listen, you're right. I'm not Azula, and I know you love her. You two have been friends for years, but I know Azula isn't perfect. There's somethings you don't even know."

Mai: "Zuko, stop."

Ty Lee: "No, please continue, Zuko!"

Azula, who appears behind Ty Lee: "Yes, Zuzu, please continue. I would love to know everything that's wrong about me. All my sorrow, all my pain. I mean, you know everything about me afterall. My hopes, dreams, and wishes. All of it is so clear, isn't it?"

Zuko: "....."

Azula: "So, this is breakfast? Perhaps, when I am the new ruler, I'll make waking up more worth it. Ty Lee, let's go."

Ty Lee: "Go? Go where?"

Azula: "Shopping, of course."

Ty Lee: "But it's too early. None of the merchants are opened yet!"

Azula: "Those who want greatness, not only need the practice, but they also need the determination. If we leave early we'll achieve that greatness!......And be first in line for the best clothes."

Ty Lee: "I'll go get dressed!"

Azula: "I'll be waiting."

(Ty Lee leaves while Azula walks behind Zuko)

Azula: "Today is the dance, and I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of our new friends we met yesterday. Be on the lookout tonight."

Zuko: "What will you be doing?"

Azula: "Dancing, having fun. That is what normal people do, right, Zuzu?"

(Azula takes a drink of Zuko's coffee and leaves)

Mai: "You and Azula have too many problems..."

Zuko: "Today, there won't be any problems. It will be just me and you."

(Zuko puts his arm around Mai and smiles)

Suzon: "And me."

Mai: "And.......Suzon."





The morning at the palace is very delicate, but for the Freedom Fighters, it's preperation for war.



Jet: "Well, guys, today is the beginning of the end for the Fire Nation."

Longshot: "Do you guys know your jobs for today, while Jet and I are gone today?"

Smellerbee: "Yes, Longshot, sir!"

Jet: "Sir? Nice. You have a status now."

(Jet smiles)

Pipsqueak: "Leave this all to us. We got this."

The Duke: "Better believe we do!"

Longshot: "We'll be back later. Stay sharp."

Smellerbee: "Always."

Longshot: "Ready Jet?"

Jet: ".........Heh...."

Pipsqueak: "Jet?"

Jet: "...He....Heh...."

(Jet throws a knife at a nearby tree, barely missing The Duke)

The Duke: "Woah! Jet!"

Longshot, who grabs Jet's shoulders: "Jet! What is wrong with you?"

(Jet's face turns from evil to good)

Jet: "Just pumped, I guess. Let's get going. No time to loose!"

(Jet leaves)

The Duke: "What was that about?"

Longshot: "I don't know...But I'll keep an eye on him. We'll return later."

(Longshot leaves)





In town.....



Azula: "Ty Lee, what do you think of this dress?"

Ty Lee: "It's really not that pretty...."

(Azula begins to get a little annoyed, via her facial expression)

Ty Lee: "But on you, it's perfect! I think you should wear it to the dance tonight!"

Azula: "Maybe..... Well, since you think it looks so amazing on me, I'll give it a try. I'd hate to disappoint you. You would never stop crying..."

(Sadness begins to peak on Ty Lee's face, a little.)

Azula: "Well, don't start crying now. We have to go find you a dress. I'll look at what the merchant across from here has in his possession. They seem to have more of your...color. Stay here and browse."

Ty Lee: "Will do!"

(Azula goes to another merchant shop)




Cutting to the duo of Jet and Longshot....




Jet: "Hey man, just relax. Can't a guy laugh a little?"

Longshot: "You nearly stabbed The Duke. It isn't funny."

Jet: "I already told you, I was worked up. I'm excited that we're finally going to win. You should be to."

Longshot: "I am."

Jet: "Good then. Now, I'll take care of the masks."

Longshot: "I'll get the clothes."

(Jet notices Azula in the store)

Jet: "I think I'll handle the clothes....."

Longshot: "Okay. It doesn't really matter, but it's your call. We'll meet up in five minutes."

(Longshot leaves as Jet approaches Azula)

Azula: "Now which one is perfect for Ty Lee...Not this one. It's too classy and not enough pink."

Jet: "I think you should choose the one to the left."

Azula: "No, that's just stupid...."

(Azula turns around)

Azula: "Well, well, look we we have here. You've already attacked me and my friends. And you think you can walk up to me in public?"

Jet: "Yeah."

(Jet pulls his toothpick out and smiles)

Jet: "It appears that way."

(Jet puts the toothpick back in)

Azula: "You surely are a persistent one. What do you want?"

Jet: "I just want to talk to a pretty girl for about five minutes."

Azula: "Only five minutes? I'll have you know I'm worth much more than just five minutes."

Jet: "I have a time limit, but I won't have one later tonight, at the dance."

Azula: "You're more of a fool than I thought if you think I'll be seen with you in front of royalty. "

Jet: "I'll be wearing a mask, so royalty won't see my hideous face.I'm not as much as a fool a you think, princess."

Azula: "Your face isn't hideous. As a matter of fact, you're very lucky...I could and should have you killed right now.

(Jet gets in Azula's face)

Jet: "What's stopping you?"

Azula: "...You"

(Jet goes to kiss Azula, but backs out)

Jet: "Time's up! We'll finish this at the dance...."

Azula: "....S-sure......I mean... Of course we will."

(Jet leaves while Ty Lee approaches Azula)

Ty Lee: "So, find a dress....? Um, why are you so sweaty? It's kind of gross!"

Azula: "I....wait. Gross? You can find your own dress with that attitude."

Ty Lee: "Oh c'mon Azula! I need your help!"

Azula: "Hm...do me a favor later on today, and I'll help you find a dress."

Ty Lee: "Sure! What's the favor?"

Azula: "Teach me how to...kiss a guy."

Ty Lee: "I thought you knew how. You kissed that loser Chen guy, didn't you?"

Azula: "No...he kissed me. And please, don't ever mention his name again."

Ty Lee: "But I love it! It reminds me of how stupid he is for letting you go!"

Azula: "Thank you, but will you help me?"

Ty Lee: "Yeah!"

Azula: "Now, let's find you a dress...."




Back to Jet....


Jet: "I'm back, and on time too."

Longshot: "Where are the masks?"

Jet: "Oh...they were sold out."

Longshot: "Luckily, I saw a pair at the shop I went too. Let's go."

Jet: "You got it."

(Jet glances back at Azula who is talking to Ty Lee, and smiles)






Later that day, when they return to the castle, Ty Lee tries to return Azula's favor.


Ty Lee: "Okay Azula. I'll be teaching you the way of the kiss!"

Azula: "I don't need a lecture...especially not from an expert like you."

Ty Lee: "I haven't kissed anyone. I'm still waiting for that special person."

Azula: "Then how can you possibly help me?"

Ty Lee: "I traveled around the world while I was in the circus, plus I've studied. Just trust me, okay?"

Azula: "Fine."





During this, Zuko is enjoying his time with Mai by laying on the huge couch watching the sky.


Zuko: "Even though Ty Lee and Azula came back, they've been so quiet. I love when it's just me and you."

Mai: "It's nice."

Zuko: "Want to go outside for awhile? Looking at the sky makes me want to go enjoy it."

Mai: "You enjoy something?"

Zuko: "The sky is nice. Beautiful, like you."

Mai: "Sure, let's go."

(They get up, and begin to o outside, but anger catches Zuko's face)

Zuko: "Great! I left my shoes in our room. I'll be back."

Mai: "Okay..."

*They kiss*





Back to learning the Art of Kissing...


Azula: "Get on with it, Ty Lee."

Ty Lee: "Okay, okay."

(Ty Lee grabs a small mirror)

Azula: "Why do you have a mirror?"

Ty Lee: "For practice."

(Ty Lee holds the mirror to Azula's face (inches away), while bending down because Azula's sitting in a chair)

Ty Lee: "Now, close your eyes and lean in to kiss the mirror."

Azula: "...Okay..Here I go."

(Azula leans in towards the mirror)

Ty Lee's thoughts: "What a minute...If her eyes are closed, she can't see the results. I'll just be her eyes for her, and tell her how she did."

(Ty Lee raises the mirror above her head so she can see Azula)



At the same time, Zuko finishes up retrieving his shoes.


Zuko walks out of his room with his shoes, but thoughts brew in his head)



Zuko: "I wonder what Azula's up too..."

(Zuko walks in Azula's room, only to see Azuala leaning in to kiss Ty Lee. His face fills with shock. Ty Lee notices him)

Ty Lee: "Zuko!"

(Azula, angerly looks his way)

Azula: "Get out of here ZuZu!"

Zuko: "I....Uh...Okay! I'll leave you two to continue to do whatever it is you....were doing."

(Zuko leaves)

Ty Lee: "Hasn't your brother ever seen a girl practice kissing before?"

(Ty Lee laughs)

Azula: "He can be weird sometimes. Anyways, tonight I think I'll let my date kiss me."

Ty Lee: "You are the prize afterall!......What? Tonight? Who's the lucky guy?"

Azula: "He's none of your business."

(Ty Lee begins to sulk)

Azula: "But he is cute."

(Ty Lee squees and hugs Azula)

Ty Lee: "I hope you two hit it off tonight!.... But if he does anything that hurts you...He'll regret it. I'll take care of him personally."

Azula: "Thank you, but I can take care of him myself. Plus, I think he knows what I'm capable of already."





Later, at the Freedom Fighter's hideout...




Longshot: "Pipsqueak! The Duke! Smellerbee! Are you ready?"

Pipsqueak: "Yes, sir!"

The Duke: "Always!"

Smellerbee: "Longshot...be careful."

(Longshot walks up to Smellerbee)

Longshot: "I will be. You better be too."

Pipsqueak: "So cute..."

The Duke: "No, it isn't! Makes me wish we never had a girl in our group in the first place!"

(Longshot backs away)

Longshot: "As should all of you!"

Jet: "Good then."

(Longshot and Jet put their masks on)

Jet: "Tonight...We will celebrate...The Fall Of The Fire Nation!



At the palace, the guests begin to fill in as the Fire Teens walk out with their dates.



(Mai, who's in a black dress, walks out with Zuko, who's in the Royal Prince's robe, that is covering a Fire Navy tuxedo.)


Mai: "This will be boring...Fun, but boring.."

Zuko: "Not with you. It'll be amazing. But remember, if we se trouble, we talk them out quietly."

Mai: "Yeah, yeah...But let's hope that doesn't happen so we can be together all night."


(Mai and Zuko walk and step aside while Azula and Ty Lee walk out.)

Azula, who's in a red dress, with black flames at the bottom: "Ty Lee, thanks for walking me out...considering my date won't be here until later."

Ty Lee, who's in a pink dress with two gold lines at the bottom of it: "It's all my honor, Azula!"

(Ty Lee steps aside, while Azula stands and begins to address the crowd)

Azula: "Everyone, on behalf of The Fire Nation, enjoy this celebration in honor of your soon to be ruler!"

(The crowd, aswell as Ty Lee claps while Zuko looks on annoyed. Mai does nothing.)

Azula: "Let the dance begin!"

Chapter 8
The Dance​

Outside of the palace, the Freedom Fighters are setting up on the glass roof. As the climb up using their black ropes, rain begins to sprinkle.









Jet, who's in a a masquerade mask and a casual white suit: "Everyone ready?"

Longshot, who's also in a suit and mask: "We're ready, but are you? This is huge. Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Jet: "I was born to do this."

Longshot: "Okay, Jet. We all were born for this moment! Smellerbee, Pipsqueak, The Duke....Man your stations. Assemble on each corner of the dome. Have your weapons ready at all times. And remember...Everything we've done is pointless compared to what we will do tonight. Are you ready?!"

The Duke: "We're ready!"

Pipsqueak: "Let's do this."

Smellerbee: "Go down there and make us proud!"

Jet: "You heard the lady. Let's move out."

(Jet and Longshot jump down, while rain begins to pour, and arrive at the Dance.









Inside the palace, the guests mingle and have fun, but Zuko is worried.









Mai: "Rain....perfect."

Zuko: "Rain is nothing. All I'm worrying about is when they'll call me to dance."

Mai: "Just relax. I'll be with you."








Across the room.....







Ty Lee: "This place sure is packed!"

Azula: "Alot of people for a pitiful dance."

(Ty Lee puts her arm around Azula)

Ty Lee: "It's not that bad. Now, which one of these guys is your date?"

(Jet walks up behind Ty Lee)

Jet: "This guy."

(Ty Lee turns around and is shocked, as Azula is)

Ty Lee: "You....You're mask is amazing!"

Jet: "Want to see my real face?"

Azula: "No, no. A secret is best kept hidden. Ty Lee, I'll see you later."

Ty Lee: "Have fun Azula!"

(Jet and Azula walk towards the balcony)

Announcer: "Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome your Prince as he approaches the dance floor."

Zuko: *Gulp*

Mai: "Come on, Zuko. The faster we go, the sooner it's over...And who knows? We may have some fun."

Zuko: "You're right. Let's entertain these guests."

(Zuko pulls off his robe, revealing a slick black tuxedo with red flames. He and Mai head to the center of the room, while everyone watches and a spotlight dawns upon them.)

Zuko: "May I have this dance?"

Mai: "Sure."

(They begin to dance)







In the crowd....






Longshot: "Where is Jet? I've lost him...."

(LongShot glances at Mai and Zuko)

Longshot: "Prince Zuko....Enjoy your dance. It won't last forever."

(Longshot grabs a beverage and begins drinking it)








At the balcony....






Jet: "So, this is what the Fire Nation does in it's free time? Dances and parties...."

Azula: "Besides conquer villages during a war, yes."

Jet: "Sounds like fun."

Azula: "And here I though you were some ragtag guy....You still are, but what exactly made you....interested in...."

Jet: "You? Heh, there's alot of things. You being a Princess has nothing to do with it, though. I'll be honest. I have a thing for girls who're beautiful and have an evil side to them."

Azula: "And who would've thought I'd have a thing for guys who rebel against authority...To rebel against the greatest Nation in the world is quite something."

Jet: "Not as cool as becoming queen of this city."

Azula: "That's something I wanted to talk to you about...."







On the dancefloor.....








Zuko: "This isn't that bad, actually."

Mai: "I thought you'd say that.

Zuko: "It's kind of....."

(Zuko notices a little sparkle on the roof)

Mai: "What is it?"

Zuko: "They're here."

Mai: "I'll take the back entrance. You take the front."

Zuko: "After we're finished, we'll resume our dance."

(Zuko runs up to the announcer)

Zuko: "Que the next dance."

Announcer: "But-"

Zuko: "NOW!"

(Zuko and Mai go out their respective entrances, but not sneaky enough because Longshot catches wind of it Putting down his drink, he sprints out of the front entrance in pursuit of Zuko)

Announcer: "Moving on...Please applaud our lovely Princess as she makes her way to the dance floor."








On the balcony...







Jet: "That's your que."

Azula: "No, that's our que."

(Azula puts her arm around Jet's and they walk back into the palace)








Outside....






Zuko reaches the top of the roof, but as soon as he lands on his feet he is met with three arrows. Using his Firebending as a shield, he brushes them away. Staring back at his cold eyes is Smellerbee, Pipsqueak, and The Duke.








The Duke: "Three on one! This'll be easy!"

(Three shuriken are thrown at The Duke, but Smellerbee throws a knife to deflect them. The Duke turns around, and sees Mai, holding a sword, staring the trio down.)

Mai: "We may be outnumbered, be we aren't outmatched."

(Longshot jumps on the middle of the roof)


Longshot: "Now, you're outclassed."










On the dance floor....








Azula: "Unlimited people cheering your name while applauding you...This is what it means to have power.:

Jet: "I can nearly taste it. Now, shall we dance, Princess?"

(Jet smiles)

Azula: "Now, we shall."








In the crowd.....



Ty Lee: "They look so cute!"








On the roof....








Zuko dashes at Longshot, but jumps over him at the last second, and uses his Firebending to propell him to where Mai is.






Zuko: "You were right. This was going to be fun."

Mai: "Zuko...be careful."

Smellerbee: "Listen to her!"

(Smellerbee shots an arrow at Mai, but Mai swats it away using her sword)

Longshot: "Smellerbee, we'll handle the Prince. Pipsqueak, you and The Duke can have his girlfriend."

Pipsqueak: "Okay."

The Duke: "Time to party!"

(Zuko shoots fire rapidly at Smellerbee and Longshot, but they jump back)

Zuko: "Get back here!"

(Zuko jumps to the other side of the roof)

The Duke: "That just leaves-"

Pipsqueak: "Where'd she go?"

The Duke: "I don't-"

(Mai launches two shuriken from above, which Pipsqueak easily deflects with his wooden club, but before they can relax, Mai jumps down with her sword and tries to impale Pipsqueak. The Duke tackles him out of the way.)

The Duke: "You okay?"

Pipsqueak: "Watch out!"

(Pipsqueak rolls him and The Duke over, narrowly missing Mai's strike. They get up, but barely in time for The Duke to clash his knives with her sword. Pipsqueak swings at her, but she does a backflip dodging it while also throwing a pair of shuriken at them. The Duke deflects them.)








On the other side of the roof...







Zuko forms a bow and arrow out of his FireBending and begins launching fire bows at Longshot and Smellerbee. Not to be upstaged, Longshot launches blasting jelly covered arrows to counter them. During the explosion, Smellerbee gets behind Zuko and shoots her own arrow. Zuko jumps back at, while upside down, shoots a firebow at her. Smellerbee jumps over it while Longshot tackles a landing Zuko.


Zuko: "Get off me!"

Longshot: "Not until you tell us everything you know!"

Zuko: "Here's a better solution."

(Zuko kicks Longshot off of him into Smellerbee, and breathes Fire out of his mouth, while walking towards them)






Inside.....







Azula: "For a peasant, you dance....well."

Jet: "For a Princess, you dress pretty bad, but your beauty makes up for it."

(Azula smiles)

Jet: "That's quite a smile....Perfect for quite a girl."

Azula: "I hope this never ends."








In the crowd...







Ty Lee: "He is so lucky! I'm so happy for them though! But I kinda wish it was-"

(Ty Lee looks up and notices the roof battle, via Zuko's fire breathing. Ty Lee quickly runs out the back door, while Azula barely notices and a small worried expression dawns on her face.)

Jet: "What's wrong?"

Azula: "Nothing, nothing....Let's show these guests how to dance, shall we?"






On the roof....







Mai dodges a blow from Pipsqueak's club, but is tripped by The Duke.


The Duke: "Show's over!"

(The Duke goes to stab Mai, but Ty Lee kicks him away)

Ty Lee: "I'm missing a dance for this. The show's back on! Mai, you go yellow, I'll go blue!"

Mai: "Sure."

(Ty Lee runs at The Duke, while Mai runs at Pipsqueak, but suddenly the change paths, and Ty Lee kicks Pipsqueak in the face, while Mai pushes The Duke down. The Duke quickly gets up and begins to strike at Mai using knives, but he sword matches the blows. Ty Lee has the same issue when trying to attack Pipsqueak, but he uses his club to block her attacks)







On the other side of the roof....








Smellerbee and Longshot launch multiple bows at Zuko, but ignites them using his firebending while kicking them away. During the smoke of the explosion, he lashes out a whip of fire that Longshot barley manages to dodge. Smellerbee runs at Zuko, knives in hand, but Zuko trips her and ties her arms behind her back. Longshot runs at Zuko while shooting arrows, but Zuko does the same, and the result is an explosion that blows them to the center of the rooftop.


Zuko: "Arg....g..."

Mai: "Zuko!"

(Pipsqueak hits Mai with his club, while Ty Lee hits The Duke's leg's pressure points that makes him collapse. Ty Lee then runs at Pipsqueak and manages to go under him, and hitting him in his back. She kicks him down, and picks Mai up.)

Ty Lee: "You okay?"

Mai: "Y-yeah.., but...Zuko...."










At the center of the roof...










Longshot slowly gets to his feet and puts his bow around Zuko's neck.





Longshot: "Surrender, Prince. It's over."

Zuko: "No....NO IT'S NOT!"

(Zuko sends a wave of fire from his body that breaks a portion of the glass below him, causing him and Longshot to fall down into the ball room.)

Smellerbee: "LONGSHOT!"

Mai and Ty Lee: "ZUKO!"

(Zuko, surrounding himself in fire, ignites the curtains as he and Longshot fall down below. They crash and break a table while the crowd screams)


Azula: "What is this?!"

Jet: "All apart of the plan."

(Jet removes his mask and pull out two knives, shocking Azula. In the background, Longshot manages to get up first.)


Jet: "Heh....hahaha.....This time Princess....You're the lucky one."

(Jet throws the knives at LongShot which catch his suit and pin him to the wall. Jet begins laughing maniacally, while the spotlight dawns on him in the center of a flame filled room)


Jet: "LONGSHOT! I think I've made my choice! The Fire Nation.....IS....where I stand! AND IT'S WHERE YOU'LL FALL!"

(Jet laughs again, while approaching Longshot)

Jet: "Truth is...I did die. The Jet you knew did. I'm smarter now, and stronger! Being forgotten by your friends changed a guy. The Fire Nation never forgets someone. They either bring them with them, or kill them. No agony! THAT IS HOW LIE SHOULD BE!"

Longshot: "You...You're....crazy!"

Jet: "Am I?!!!"

(Jet smiles and throws his toothpick at Longshot, which impales his stomach)

Jet: "Maybe!"

(Mai and Ty Lee run in through the doors)

Mai: "Zuko!"

(Mai runs to Zuko)

Zuko: "Ugh....This....night....is horrible..."

Mai: "Are you okay?"

Zuko: "N-no....but I won't die.....sadly...*Zuko smiles*

(Mai begins to cry and hugs Zuko)

Ty Lee: "Azula! What happened!? Are you okay!?"

Azula: "J-Jet....He's....Crazy."

(Jet walks up to them, while Ty Lee makes a fighting stance in front of Azula)

Jet: "Am I crazy, Azula?"

Ty Lee: "Take one more step towards her and I'll take care of you MYSELF!"

Azula: "No need, Ty Lee....He is crazy, but not a monster. He's one of us now."

(Azula gets in Jet's face)

Azula: "He's crazy....I like that."

(Jet and Azula smile, but Smellerbeee, The Duke, and Pipsqueak rush in to get Longshot)

Azula, while igniting blue flames: "Really? You want to try that?"

(Ty Lee and Jet make fighting stances aswell)

Jet: "Surrender, now!"

Smellerbee: "J-Jet....."

The Duke: "JET! NO!"

(The Duke begins to run at him, but Pipsqueak hold him back)

Pipsqueak: "No. Jet is gone. Longshot is our leader now."

Azula: "Don't worry, you'll be sharing a cell with him by tomorrow. Ty Lee, take care of them."


(Ty Lee jumps behind the Freedom Fighters, and knocks them all out)

Jet: "Shall we dance?"

Azula: "Of course."

(Ty Lee goes to Zuko's aid and helps Mai, but can't stop looking at Azula and Jet who are dancing, not paying attention to anything that has happened)

Chapter 9​

The Crown​

Darkness consumes one day, only to to met with light the following. The dance is over, but a new day dawns. Who will be the ruler of Ba Sing Se?








Zuko, sporting bandages and cuts, in his Prince battle attire, along with Mai, walk out through the golden doors of the palace and enter a crowd awaiting a new ruler.



Zuko: "This is what I've been waiting for. I will finally become King."

Mai: "Zuko, relax. You're still hurt from yesterday."

Zuko: "As a Prince, my pain will not stop my success. And besides, those bandits won't be seeing my crowning, will they? The're locked inside a cell and missing something historic."

Mai: "You're starting to sound like Zhao."

Zuko: "Unlike him, my destiny it to become ruler and not a pawn."

Mai: "Let's sit down."

(As they sit down, Azula and Jet walk through the doors)


Jet: "You look amazing."

Azula: "In this war setup? I doubt it. Very little, but I still doubt it."

Jet: "Either way, I still think you look amazing. This day is perfect. No interference from my former friends, and you become the ruler."

Azula: "I've been meaning to talk to you about the last part."

Jet: "What is it?"

Azula: "I think-"

(Interrupting Azula, Ty Lee comes running in)

Ty Lee: "Azula! The messengers...They're here!"

Azula: "Jet, I-"

Ty Lee: "Here they come!"

(A messenger suiting a FireNavy uniform walks up to Azula and hands her a scroll-letter)

Azula: "Tell father ZuZu and I say hello."

(Messenger leaves)

Ty Lee: "Well, open it!"

Zuko: "Finally. Open it."

Jet: "What's wrong?"

Azula: "I've made a decision."

(Azula burns the paper, as Zuko looks on shocked)

Azula: "Who is father to decide who's best suited to rule this city, when he has no real experience with it."

Zuko: "Azula, what are you doing?"

Azula: "I have made up my mind on who should be King."

Mai: "King?"

Zuko: "Azula...."

Azula: "The most qualified person to lead this city, and guard it is..."

Zuko's thoughts: "Me, pick me!"

Azula: "Jet."

Ty Lee: "What? I thought you wanted the crown?"

Azula: "What I want has changed."

Zuko: "What? You pick someone who tried to kill us two days ago to lead control this city OVER ME?"

Azula: "You were never even an option, brother."

Jet: "Me, king? I don't know about this."

(Azula kisses Jet while Ty Lee looks on with envy)

Azula: "What about now?"

(Jet puts the crown on)

Jet: "All hail King Jet!"

(Crowd cheers)

Ty Lee: "Azula, I thought you wanted power."

Azula: "I still do..., but now I desire love. I thought you wanted what was best for me?"

Ty Lee: "I do!"

Azula: "Good then. Everyone, we'll be staying here for awhile, so get used to it."

Mai: "Yay..."

Zuko: "Wait until father hears-"

(Azula gets in Zuko's face)

Azula: "Father already knows, I'm sure. It changes nothing. You can go home if you want, but I think he doesn't like you anymore considering I told him you actually didn't kill the Avatar....I did."

Zuko: "You didn't."

Azula: "Or did I? The choice is up to you. Stay or leave."

Zuko: "....."

(Zuko grabs Mai's arm and stays)

Azula: "Good choice."

(Jet grabs Azula and they kiss)

Jet: "Sorry, but I needed one more. I am the king afterall."

Azula: "You are."

(They kiss over the roaring crowd, while Ty Lee stares with anger into Jet's eyes)
















Meanwhile, miles away, at The base of The Fire Nation.....







Darkness and Fire are blaze infront of a hooded man, as he bows to he FireLord, who is covered in darkness.







Ozai: "The unthinkable has occurred......It appears that my selection of
the ruler of Ba Sing Se has been overlooked. Never put your faith in children....I knew Zuko might have done something like this, but not Azula. She has deemed some boy to be the ruler. As FireLord, I disapprove of this. You have stayed captive long enough my brother. I am giving you the chance to do what you have done many years ago. Re-Capture Ba Seng Se in name of The Fie Nation, and become the ruler of Ba Seng Se. In doing so, you will probably have to go in combat with your own family...Maybe even kill them. In the name of the Fire Nation, do you accept this task?"

(The hooded man removes his hood and looks up)

Iroh: "Yes."
