Well, Crows were introduced to the series by Itachi Uchiha, and mostly they were nothing spectacular as far as abilities and simply appeared to be normal crows capable of flight. However, Itachi would occasionally use crows throughout some of his genjutsu, and could even create a clone from these crows which when hit, simply dispersed back into crows.

Right, before you can summon Crows, you first need to sign your name on this scroll.

Once you've done so, you can go ahead and perform the summoning ritual to summon a flock of Crows to distract the target while you strike them. Try it out on that dummy over there.

Akagane bites his finger and sign his name upon the scroll. Performing the seals necessary, he summons the mass of crows which he commands to obscure his movement while he easily struck down the dummy. In a puff of smoke the crows disperse leaving Akagane ready to learn more.

With another set of handseals, Akagane performs the summoning technique causing a flock of Crows to swirl around him before they all take off towards the dummy, pecking at it with thier beaks and ripping it to shreds.

I'd be inclined to say they just puff away once they perform the action, but I'll ask and let you know. The next one is just a regular large crow, generic summon and that. Try summoning it.

Description: The user will summon a large black crow that stands about as tall as two people with a wingspan of about 5 meters which can be used for various tasks in combat such as generally attacking the opponent or for maneuvering around on the battlefield. The crow itself is only capable of standard physical attacks using its claws, beak and wings.

Akagane performs the necessary seals and summons a large crow in front of him, the crow eyes Akagane before turning and brandishing his back for Akagane to hop on, soon Akagane flies within the sky with his new crow companion for a few laps before landing once again.

The large crow disappears in a tuft of smoke as Akagane is ready to continue.

And now we move onto Crow Ninjutsu. Create a clone of yourself using the crows.

Description: A technique that produces a clone by projecting one's own chakra towards dozens of crows. These are summoned by the technique itself. Because it uses crows as a medium, it requires less chakra than the normal Shadow Clone Technique, while still being able to perform techniques (up to A-Rank). The dozens of crows come together to form the body of a clone. When the chakra projected by the user is severed, the crows disperse, though the user is still able to continue to speak through it.

Note: Can only be used by signers of the Crow contract and can only make 2 clones with each use.
