Crossing the river metaphor

Although I think some might already know. Crossing the river is a Buddhist metaphor.

All three major vehicles(ways) of Buddhism(Theravada, Mahayana and Vajra, if you want to know) are ways of crossing the river.

This crossing the river is for oneself, mostly, but for others as well. It means to attain peace. To reach the other shore, to reach Nirvana.



The reason Madara succeeded this time in crossing the river, is because he didn't think about throwing a shuriken, but he did it with peace of mind.

I was so focused on Madara's bladder shyness that I didn't even notice the philosophical metaphor of the river xd
