It's part of their strength. It's like saying Doffy vs Sanji but Doffy doesn't have his strings. Or Akainu vs Luffy but Akainu doesn't have legs. If you have to restrict it, then you have your answer.

Yes he is. Gladius' powers are completely ineffective against Crocodile. His projectiles are rendered ineffective by intangibility. If Gladius tries to blow him up, one of two things will happen. He'll strike his flesh, and the explosion wouldn't work as flesh is organic, or he'll strike him as sand, and Crocodile will just reform.

If he touches him as a human, Crocodile simply uses Barchan and makes him wilt. If he catches Crocodile in sand form, he blows the sand all over. In midair, Crocodile's body pulls back and slices past Gladius, drying him out. Crocodile vs Gladius ends very quickly.

Crocodile only wins because of match up and Gladius has shown no haki. Even with intangibility off his abilities seem useless against crocs sand.

Not when he's dried out. His body would be too frail to move. All Croco has to do is slam him with his hook once.
