For years I've only ever watched Naruto, and in the past few weeks I started watching Sword Art Online and Tokyo Ghoul. Four hours ago I started watching Death Note - something that I'd contemplated for months, but I kept putting it off. I haven't stopped watching it since then. Quite simply - I'm hooked.
One thing that I noticed in all of these anime series appears to be crime...
(Anime) Sword Art Online -> People killing each other in games.
(Anime) Tokyo Ghoul -> Constant fighting between the ghouls and the CCG.
(Anime) Death Note -> The whole thing revolves around crime...
(Anime) Psycho Pass -> Just the first alone episode explains everything...
(Anime) Akame Ga Kill -> Sort of crime, being that the people fight for justice.
I've tried watching other anime shows like Fairy Tail, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist but I can't seem to get into them whatsoever, and in watching these series' it feels like I'm a criminal or something - but I'm not? It's definitely an odd feeling... but I simply can't stop watching them because they're so addicting...
Do any of you have this same feeling, whether it also be for the crime genre or for other, or do you think that there's something odd going on - like it's not a coincidence that I like only these crime-based anime (and Naruto, but that's unconditional love because I've been watching it for so long)?
