[Discussion] Credit due

I stopped One Piece when I was a youngin still. The art style turned me off and stretching didn't interest me. But I seen a timeskip One Piece fight in a top 10 video on YouTube and it was wicked. So I picked it back up from episode 60, I'm on 91 now.

One thing I like is how each crew mate always has their own seperate interactions they play into the arcs story. & I like how heavy world exploration is its theme. So many characters to enrich the world. Like little navy boy Coby training away, I'm sure he'll be a badass later on.

Besides entertaining stories, it's pretty funny too. Chopper peeking around the corner backwards is so gold.

I'm saying this because I used to down One Piece heavy about being #1 in Japan but I could see why, I still prefer Naruto however. And Hunter x Hunter in terms of the art style. But OP actually isn't bad at all once you watch it enough & the emotions and motions are animated well too.

Fairy Tail is meh to me too. & that one seems accurate based on other critics.

So to my fellow One Piece art dislikers, if you haven't even watched a few arcs pls try ty

One Piece is quite good. That being said, it's not as good (in my opinion) as people make it out to be. I'm probably only hooked because I've been into it since I was 8 lol. Naruto > One Piece for me. There were more characters I could relate to as they were more realistic (personality wise, of course).
Then again, Shonen isn't really my favourite genre of anime/manga. Kinda grown out of it (the genre, not the ones I'm nostalgically attached to).

If shounen isn't your jam then i have no clue how you even got to this thread....anyway the manga is pretty well written and will go on for a long time. If someone is looking for a good anime that will be here for years to come Id strongly recommend OP. Plus I think the music in the anime is second to none.

I never could get into it, this might be childish but I don't like the art...dunno why, I just don't like it
But there are a lot of people who love it so I am sure it's good, just not for me, either way OP will go down as one of the greats of the anime genre

I don't mind Shonen. It's just not my favourite. I've been reading Naruto, OP, DB since when I was very young so I've kinda become attached.

I would recommend either reading the manga though (the colored version) or watching the One Pace fan edited episodes (where fans edited out the filler stuff that toei uses to stretch the episodes) fr the arcs that are already fully edited
