Sometimes, it's the dedicated fans who think of creative battle strategies that Kishi either didn't think about or refrained from using. This is especially true in VS threads, since several debaters are trying to synthesize a scenarios where character X could potentially beat character Y. These tactics may or may not more relevant than in a simple 1v1 fight. For example,
Minato Strategy: Set up FTG tags in places like a guarded prison, in the inner rim of an active volcano, in the middle of some random island, wherever. That way, all Minato has to do is be able to teleport his opponent to some faraway land if he needs to buy more time. Or maybe he can set the odds in his favor by teleporting them to a bunch of Minato's allies. This is useful when Minato is fighting somebody that he doesn't have the tools to finish off himself.
Hidan Strategy: This strategy involves a stealthy teammate. Have Hidan stay away from battle in some secure location. Pick a target that the two ninja want to either threaten with death or kill outright. Let the stealthy teammate stalk this enemy (either as a double agent spy or with some stealth jutsu) and wait for a chance to successfully escape with a sample of their blood. Bring this blood to Hidan and let him perform the ritual. Otherwise, inform the target that they will die unless they comply to their orders (literally death note).
