Gravity is still considered a theory because nothing is truly made a law in physics. Look it up :D ! Yeah, gravity is a fact though

thank you for that, but actually I am a physicist so I really dont have to look it up

and its not that gravity isnt a fact its just that we dont completely understand the mechanics behind it

I would think that we had a thorough understanding of it though. :O

While Physicists are not biologists, they may have taken above high school level or higher biology courses and may actually have knowledge to discuss the basics (But naturally has no right to the last word in the matter).... Just like me who is nothing but a mere aspiring Ceramic Engineer, but is actually among the top 10 computer programmers in my institution as of now.

Also what is your specialization?

well id say physicists have a somewhat better understanding of most natural sciences than an average creationist

also Im not actually talking about evolution because I learned long ago that trying to convince anyone anything up here is a waste of time, I was just commenting some stuff because I think creationism is making people stupid for no real reason

This sort of thread is always doomed to spiral into insults and massive arguments, but I'll play :D
I believe in God - nothing like a hardcore Christian/Jew/etc. or anything, but I believe in God - and I really find religious arguments to be completely ridiculous from BOTH sides. They both have their supposed proofs and the other side continually shuts them down and it's an endless cycle of absurdity. Apparently, though, the majority of people believe in some sort of higher power, whether or not said power is some sort of god who created us all. That's not me saying "I'm neutral BUT...*spouts bunch of one-sided crap*", that's just what it is. I'm open to both sides, but my personal viewpoint is that they're both true. Who says God didn't create evolution? The existence of one doesn't undeniably disprove the other. In response to the actual question of whether they should be taught in schools, how about both and just letting the students choose after hearing both viewpoints? That's what my school (a Lutheran College) does. Works pretty well if you ask me.
The point is, you should just choose for yourself and believe whatever the hell you want to believe.
Also, there's no thing in any Abrahamic religious text I've ever heard of about humans living with dinosaurs, don't be ridiculous.

in reality, just like creationism, evolution opens as to as many questions. unlike gravity which is an apparent and clear thing, maybe the actual mechanics of it is still a theory, evolution is a theory all in all.

A perfect example with people claiming that fossils and it's interpretation is the true savior of evolution. There was a fish that scientists claimed to have gone extinct a few million years ago which is the missing link between the fish and an amphibian, just to find out as recent as 2008 that these fish still exists in rural Indonesia and are fished on a daily bases as part of their diet.
When they researched the fish they realised their whole claim was wrong, so they scrapped it and these links are still none existent.

Point being, Evolution is still a theory and will always be a theory. If you believe creationism shouldn't be taught in schools, neither should evolution!
If either are to be taught, one should be based on a religious aspect of things, the other as nothing more than a theory that can still easily be proved wrong.

Before Athiest get all high and mighty, I've read a fair amount about evolution, and everything is controversial. There is No facts to evolution, they only have semi facts to adaptability, and claim it as part of evolution.

There is nothing wrong with making such researches to find the truth.
In Islam we have the answer, but god asked us to research, to find out why, how and when, there is no harm. Knowledge is power, having the answers isn't always enough, but the way to get the answer makes the difference.

Knowing by heart that 4X4 = 16 isn't much, where is we need to know why does it = 16, and we will need to analyze everything in that simple equation and learn a lot on the way.
