I kinda wanted to see how I could use Light in one >_>
Hero: L (Death Note)
Hero's Sidekick: Light (Death Note)
Villain: Johan (Monster)
Let's say that Johan actually succeeded in erasing his name (dunno how this works in terms of the death note but.. imagination). For those who don't know this is actually one of Johan's supposed goals. But anyways, Light and L in this verse have come to neutral terms: Light has promised to stop his killings but promises that if he is sentenced to death, a third party (Misa Misa) would probably commit mass genocide. Thus a stalemate has been reached. L hasn't had an interesting case his Kira, pretty dull for his mind. But then, strange killings start taking place. L wonders if Light has a hand in this, but soon realizes that this is the work of a true monster. He requests Light's help to take on this foe, and even gives him permission to use the Death Note against Johan. But will it be that easy? Little do they know that Johan has already acquired influence over many parts of the world. What is his goal?

Hero: Akiyama Shinichi (Liar Game)
Hero's Sidekick: Light Yagami (Death Note)
Villains: Yokoya (Liar Game) and L (Death Note)
All of these four contestants are pit into the Liar Game Tournament. In both Akiyama and Light's case, they find their mutual goal to be the one behind the strings in all of this. They become allies for this purpose. However, Light wishes to use the Death Note to destroy anybody within his way and kill the Chief Executive. Akiyama realizes that Light kills people using the Death Note in the second round, and confronts him about it. A conflict between the two "heroes" comes into play: one that causes a rift between them. Akiyama doesn't wish death on any of them. Meanwhile, L's decided to take up the case of bringing down the LGT. For this, he decides to play the game himself. On the way, he connects the deaths in-game to legends of the Death Note he's heard in the past, and deduces that either Akiyama or Light indeed has such a notebook. He warns another player, Yokoya, about the obvious threat. Yokoya doesn't believe him at first, but after certain deaths, concludes the same thing. With the information given to him by L, he substitutes for somebody else and plays under their name instead (which is normal in the real LG manga). They're given safety from the Death Note, but Light hates to lose. Will there come a point in which he'll trade half his lifespan for shinigami eyes? Akiyama must play his cards very carefully with such a wild card on his side.
