I would applaud Kishi if he went for something like that.

Not going to happen though, this is Shonen.

I know, I was toying with Uchiha fans xD.

But really, if Uchiha clan was never massacred, what would be the true purpose of Itachi lying to Sasuke?

Well, Hirudora, take a look at what Itachi himself says to Sasuke as to why he lied to him (ch. 576, pg. 7):

...a ninjutsu to free minds from a false reality, ergo, for massively waking up the people from a created reality?

What if Infinite Tsukiyomi plan succeed and then everyone realizes chakra is just an invention of the Sage of Six Path, who for once put every existent person inside an illusion with the help of the forbidden fruit, something like the Matrix?

What if unconsciously Obito is a hero in the war?

I would be mindblown, that's for sure.

PS: This idea came from Itachi's sentences, where he states that someone's reality could be an illusion for other people, just like the idea of Madara being Itachi's mentor.

Any thoughts?

a few other people have came up with this idea. this is probably the first thread made about it though. ive had a few conversations about it in just normal posts though. i think its possible that this whole uchiha senju feud is an infinite izanagi. it has alot of similiarities to izanagi except its in the real world and effects infinite generations until the feud is solved. that would also explain how the sage was so sure about naruto and this whole "destined child thing. it was the only way out of infinite izanagi. like how with normal izanagi the only way out is to accept your true self.

...maybe you're talking about Izanami.

What if Hirudora spent as much time sweet talking girls as posting threads on this site?

There is an inherent problem with Infinite Tsukuyomi. It does not allow for Karmic progression. Everyone get's what they want, whatever that may be. Other than the obvious physical limitations that will result in everyone's death, it would be a disaster and is the opposite of what Izanami is intended for.

The idea of a loop has existed all the way back to the "Who is Tobi' theories and before Izanami was even introduced. The problem with it being some kind of Izanami is that it requires an observer throughout to set the conditions of the genjutsu loop. So while I agree that Narutoverse is stuck in a loop, it is stuck looping in reality (whatever that is). It is more likely that the antagonist manipulates events to ensure the loop continues until their end goal can be achieved.

You got this quote wrong.. someones reality(perception) could be a illusion IN reality. not to someone else..

People live their lives bound by what they see as "right" and "true."
That's what they call "reality."
However, "right" and "true" are nothing but vague terms.
Their reality could turn out to be an illusion.

I make this post because theres a lot of solipsistic people on this world these days that think theres no such thing as reality, that perception is reality, which is idiotic of course.

Really interesting theory. I like both this and the Izanami one of Valandil988.
Thanks for you. I would rep too but I need to spread :(.

Its a good theory, really a bit too controlling for how I perceive the Rikudo I don't believe that he would take the choice out of everyone hands like Obito would. Basically this thread is an alternate to what I just posted not to long ago. So credit to you. I'd rep you if I could :3

You'd suck a d!ck if you could nigga. Not only did you openly admit that you posted a f#cking duplicate thread but you haven't added a damn thing to the discussion. So you know Obito is an opponent of free will. Wow, as if the last 20 or so chapters didn't already explore that in detail. And you perceive Rikudou Sennin as less so? Hmmm, now where could someone as stupid as you have gotten that idea. Oh yeah, I could be wrong but it might have something to do with Rikudou being portrayed as a hermit, a holy man, a father figure, and a benevolent god every time he's mentioned. I'd give you points for stating the obvious but I haven't negged your for the day.
