Woman 'admits stalking herself, blaming ex'
Michigan woman Cheryl Nelson,52, allegedly used the false Facebook accounts to post threatening messages to herself, to make it appear she had been harassed by her former partner's new girlfriend. She made at least eight complaints to police between November 11 and October 2012, claiming she had been the victim of harassment, stalking, assault and a home invasion.
But as Detective Jason Russo investigated, police received a complaint from Mr Haarsma that he had been threatened and stalked by Nelson.
The accusation led police to search Nelson’s home, where they found the computer she later allegedly admitted to using to set up Facebook accounts using her ex’s information.
She has been charged with falsely reporting a felony and unlawful posting of a message, M Live reports.
