I just was reading through the terms of service for Call of Duty Elite, and I noticed they put acts of God as one of the reasons that there can be delays which they would not be responsible for. They really want all of the bases covered lol. So if god decided to strike down a programmer or something, and something negative happened to the game because of it, we cant sue them.

I know this has no purpose, but though it was funny. Has anyone else seen funny things like this on service agreements before? I cant remember where but I have seen acts of God listed on the terms of service thing for something else, but I'm not sure where.

Nice. I haven't read anything, mainly because I never really thought about it, but that's pretty awesome.

I was only reading it because I wanted to see if it said something about how long the clan operations took to post rewards on MW3 and I was just scanning through and saw acts of god was like dafuq is that!

"Activision shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside Activision’s reasonable control, including without limitation any failure to perform hereunder due to unforeseen circumstances or cause beyond Activision's control such as acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor or materials."

They forgot something. If aliens invade! So if Aliens invade and MW3 doesn't work because of it, I can sue Activision.

Aliens are smart enough to not invade a planet that would actually play MW3

Force Majeure: The failure of the Releasees to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of the Releasees (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.

From a gamestop contest I entered the other day, I guess everyone wants to be covered for acts of god.
