Couldn't Sasuke destroy the moon by just looking at it?

Amaterasu ignites on whatever surface the eye focuses on Right?


So theoretically, Sasuke could ignite the moon with that jutsu couldn't he?


Although, it would take some time as the moon is hundreds of thousands of miles away, and since Aye the Raikage was able to dodge them, there must be a time window.



But I think Sasuke might do that in the upcoming chapter.

I can't believe tht i've to explain science here..............but as far as using ametarasu on themoon is concerned......fire needs oxygen to burn and moon has no oxygen on its surface and naruto's bijudama has to go at a speed greater than 11.2km/s to go past the earth's atmosphere........so destroying the moon is pretty much impossible.....if u r saying tht science does'nt apply in the naruto world..........then u've to remember that the so6p sealed the juubi's body to create the moon......and bijudamas and all the other techniques that naruto and sasuke ve used against the juubi ve'nt worked at all.... so destroying the moon is impossible......they're better off trying to destoy the tree or its bud......
