No but seriously I think one has to be severely weakened or WILLINGLY give themselves up to momoshiki to be absorbed that way, also it appears that it takes some time to prep and the opponent must be stationary, idk that's what happened to kinshiki so I'm going off of what occurs, on a plus note, it's sort of like human path+preta path in a sense.

They still have Hagoromo's Rikudou chakra so it's possible that they summon the Sun and Moon Seals at will. If Momoshinki gets hit by those; Chibaku Tensei will seal him away. So, Momoshinki tried to get rid of both of them as quickly as possible.
