When someone has committed to harming you - do not be the "good guy," "nice guy," or whatever.

There is no such thing as "shoot to wound" or "just hurt him/her enough." Become the predator you are, and ravage the sorry soul until he/she/it is down and no longer posing a threat. If it kills him/her - so be it. They are already extending the same consideration to you.

If you grab a hold of it, break it. If you strike it, shatter it. If it's soft and squishy - jab it. Bend and snap elbows/knees. Gouge eyes. Rupture kidneys - whatever it is that is attacking you does not leave without a firm reminder that it made the decision to engage the top predatory species on the planet.

That aside - the skull is a more formidable structure than many people give it credit for. About the only way you are going to break -through- a person's skull is if they are on the ground and you stomp with the heel of your boot or drop onto them with your weight concentrated in your knee (and that isn't recommended - you're likely to do considerable damage to your knee, then). I can't see a situation where your hand is punching through someone's skull.

If someone trys to kill me and I were to over power them,I would chop off both of his hands so he wouldn't use them to kill again.

For self defense purposes i would. Emotions of regret and hesitation would kick in but it'd wear off after a day or two.
I would know i done the right thing to save myself and that person coming for my life deserved to die.

Same would apply to protecting my loved ones.
