It's a tricky topic and a lot is to be considered.

I would say, yes, in that very specific instance. Other than that, i really don't think so. What opinions do you have on the Mother?

It's true that the act of forgiveness benefits the person doing the forgiving even more than the one being forgiven.

And I agree that this is a very specific instance.

Even so, I don't think I could be as forgiving.

I'm sorry that was all good and dandy, and the mother might have felt bit more relieved but Fuk no. I would never forgive someone for doing that unless my son/daughter deserved it or if it was something they asked for in which it can be arguable.

In that specific case itself, no I wouldn't forgive him. I dont understand how guilt and remorse can magically erase all the wrath, I just dont.
