[Discussion] Could World Peace ever be achieved

Peace is easily obtainable, but that peace would involve mass control of the populace and the removal of our individuality, our freedom and our rights.

Maybe if God, Jesus and Satan was real then, God was the sage that wanted peace and gave his power to his sons. He picked his younger son (Jesus) like the Sage and the Older one (Satan) was jealous now on Earth the evil people have the curse of evil (Satan) and the good people have the will of kindness (Jesus)... who knows!?!?!?

Edit: On topic, there must be away to get true peace on this planet but it's not known yet...

We could stop all wars but peace will never be maintained. If people started respecting one anothers natural rights conflicts would die down into little arguements between people.

As far as how our world is run, true peace can only exist temporarly after war and suffering, and that's just sad.

So i decided to make this thread becuz me and my friend were arguing i said that becuz people will always have conflicting goals World Peace could never be achieved. He on the other hand disagrees.
Also do you think War is needed to substain the human population?

Conflict and turbulance will always be a part of independent yet productive interests.

That does not necessarily mean war... but when it comes to resources vital to sustaining the quality and function of society - it most likely will lead to war.

No, world peace will never be achieved. Conflict is man's nature. Pain and suffering is inevitable in this world.

War and Conflict isn't neccessarily a bad thing, especially if it is initiated for the right cause. What I'm talking about is for a good cause like peace, happiness and justice. Although I agree with you on how it is a man's nature. That is more than true but some find it difficult to comprehend. Some guys on this thread are right by using Naruto :O

Take Hashirama and Madara's fight for example. Hashirama was the good guy who wanted to protect his dream, his village and the people he loved all for the sake of good and in order to prevent conflicts. But look what happened? His only best friend became his worst enemy and among those to crush all the good Hashirama had intentions for. So he forced himself to fight with his best friend because he knew he had to and it wasn't for anything bad but for the good. Now even after death(as an Edo) he respects Madara and still consides him his friend. That's why he is one of my fave characters. :yeah:

I agree with you to an extent. You see we have to think open mindedly about this. There are steps to be taken in order to attain World Peace. First we need a group of people in every country who are trustworthy, sincere, are just and devoted in protecting their home. They would have to rise to the top and have a good interest in politics. Then a democratic system is implemented and they could vote for who becomes leader of that country. They could also begin to influence and encourage the people of their country to do the good things and the benefit they could get out of it.

Once good people are leaders, then they could form an alliance like we see in Naruto or how you have NATO in real life. Hashirama is a good example of something similar which was done. He protected the village from Madara who became a threat in sustaining the peace and happiness that existed among the village.

No, you are in great despair bro. I thought I told you to not become like Obito and Madara but you didn't listen. It will never be achieved because of people who are careless, imprudent, egoistic, faithless, deluded and arrogant people. You are becoming likely them if you're not already like them. My friend, I urge you to think again and have more faith. Think of Naruto. Look how determined he is and will never give up. He is willing to do anything for the people he loves.

Nope, no way my friend. I Hate this ugly truth, but peace cannot be held long talking about nations, just think in the magnitude of mankind achieving peace....it isnt the fault of religious people and other religious people, or is it the fault of athiests and religious people.....human biengs were born to be and act in ways that are special than their fellow men and women. So the only way to achieve true piece is to have a world filled with true honest people who will one day be corrupt and them face a common enemy with people who still are honest....naruto is the ideal world. I think someone wrote this above but a true way to achieve world piece is to take away freedom, act systimatic and take the true concept of humanity away

currently the only way I could think of uniting humanity under one banner if we encounter a alien spicies that started invading out planet (so we either have to fight it united or fall devided)
