When you have such a huge fan base like Naruto there will always be split between the fan base. Making a mystery character to trout around for years doesn't help either because everyone wants their personal opinion to be right. So technically it would be impossible to live up to the hype.

On the other hand for me personally it probably will. I didn't want/think it would be Obito but it would be a lie to say things didn't just get amazingly interesting. Tobi and Obito trended worldwide on twitter today at the number 4 and 7 spot respectively. The 3 largest Naruto forums on the internet crashed due to overwhelming activity for a period today. The fact that it's Obito makes it polarizing. It's something you can easily love or hate and the irnoy is that, that makes Kishi an amazing mangaka considering all the hate and love he's simultaneously receiving right now.

Nar people just got to carried away IMO. I didn't think it was obito, but if it is (still unconfirmed read ***********) then I think Kishi will pull a fast one and have a twist associated with it.
