Could this be the cause of Hashi's death?

Remember that Hashi and Madara were destined to fight each other, Now remember how it's been said that Naruto and Sasuke are destined to fight each others too and that if one dies, they both die too?
What if Hashi thought that he had killed his best friend and just could not live with himself and killed himself?

I think it's because Hashirama could also use Creation Rebirth.. and used it too many times, since he fought Madara a shitload of times. Like Tsunade, it grants him a state of immortality as it hastens the creation of new cells, but because the cells of a human body can only be split a few times in a lifetime, it also shortened his overall lifespan.

I could see Hashirama doing it to protect Konoha. He would fight Madara and then kill himself since he would refuse to kill his brother, finally earning Madara's trust. In return, Madara would not harm Konoha and leave forever.
