this is true. Kishi wouldn't only have Kakashi return in the most dramatic fashion.

Also the guy doesn't have the same look or hair as Kakashi.

Not Kakashi -- for the reasons people stated above. Plus, the land SFX is probably from that ninja falling on the ground in defeat and hopelessness. Let us think for a moment:

-All the Hokages received a grand entrance when they arrived

-Sasuke received an entrance when he arrived.

-Orochimaru received an entrance when he arrived.

-Hiruzen received another one when he saved Naruto.

-Even the lesser people (Juugo, Karin, Suigetsu) had panel time for their entrance.

Given that Kakashi is a major character, it would be bad writing if he just appeared back on the field without the readers actually knowing he came back. There needs to be some sort of confirmation (the panel time) that he came back.
