Could the Uchiha coup work?

If all the Uchihas agreed to the coup could it have been succesful?

I am guessing the Uchihas contained at least 200 shinobis, lets say that 150 had an awakened Sharingan + 2 MS users (Itachi and Shisui)

Now, I am not saying that the Uchiha clan would have had to fight against all of the village, as in most coups most of the military is not involved. So I'm guessing they would have had to defeat Root, ANBU, Danzo and Hiruzen, do you guys think that they could have pulled it off?

For your scenario, It will boil down to Itachi, Shisui and Fugaku vs Danzo and Hiruzen (fodder Uchiha stalemate fodder ANBU), the Uchiha takes this, if regular shinobi gets involved which they will, then Kakashi, guy, Asuma and other fodder shinobi will interfere and the Uchiha will lose

The filler episode just showed that they could of easily manipulated the nine tails and rekt the village. If we are assuming that doesn't happen then I think It would a a close fight then

Even if the coup had put the Uchihas in power, there's no way they would have been accepted. When the Uchihas got massacred, the town barely cared (it was literally just a gossip topic the next day). Hiruzen is the freaking Hokage; the village does actually like him.

if all the uchiha agreed then itachi would have offered obito the destruction of the leaf which he would have preferred over the destruction of just the uchiha. the uchiha would have not only shisui and itachi who were MS users and top shinobi in the village but now they would also have obito and kamui hack.

obito would be transporting members into strategic places and if him, itachi and shisui team up i don't think there was anyone in the village that could take them on

If you consider the Itachi filler canon, the Uchiha stomp. They're just too Hax.
3 MS users >>Leaf Village. A lot of you are counting on Shisui, but it doesn't work like that, Itachi only awakened MS when Shisui died.
However in the Itachi filler, Fugaku also has MS, and is capable of controlling the Kyuubi. Itachi could ask Tobi to help, which he would since he had quarrel with the leaf village, so it boils down to Itachi+Fugaku+Controlled Kyuubi+Tobi +Uchiha Fodder vs a leaf Village without any relevant strong characters. Minato is dead, Hashi is dead, Naruto is still young so it ends up with the Uchiha roflstomping.

Shishui alone would be enough.
Shishui can just put Hiruzen and Danzo into a genjutsu that make them accept Fugaku as the Hokage.
