A while back, based on all my data of characters and clans, I made a flow chart depicting the origins of all the known shinobi clans and families. In this, I made Juugo's clan either cousins or descendants of the Uzumakis and the Inuzukas, Aburames and most of the mist clans and families descended from Juugo's clan.
Juugo's clan strikes me as very old and primal, much like the Kaguya clan did. They are born with and naturally draw in senjutsu, attracting animals and taking on anthropomorphic features. Based on this, I connected the clans with strong affinities to animals to them. The aburames who charm insects and use their bodies as hives, the Inuzukas with canine features and senses with the ability to fuse with them, Kisame who possesses affinity with sharks and very striking shark features and Suigetsu who can transform into water, which according to a few sources is a special technique of his clan along with most of the inhabitants of the mist who possess sharp teeth. Is the theory too far-fetched or am I on to something?
