Could some of the Rikudou no Jutsu counter the Shinigami?

For example, could the Gakidō (Preta Path) "absorb" it? Or could the Ningendō (Human Path) "kill it" by absorbing or pulling it's soul? Just random thoughts..

That's a good question. Isn't the RDS classified as sealing jutsu though? It may override even the Rinnegan's jutsu. Really not sure though but I think the Death Seal would manage to come out on top in both scenarios against Rikudou's jutsu

Yeah, it's supposedly a Fuuinjutsu created by the Uzumaki clan. But, it seems to be it's own entity. I think the Jutsu is a contract with the entity itself. Unless the whole thing is "man-made".

Yeah, but it's a Fuuinjutsu. The Shinigami could be it's own entity though and the Jutsu is a contract to summon it. I guess that's another question. Is the whole thing "man-made", or is it it's own entity and the Fuuinjutsu a contract?

Seems about right. The Uzumaki clan where the ones to create the contract with it for whatever reason. I wonder it's original purpose, I doubt they'd create it just for the hell of it.

I don't know, it must have been made for EXTREMELY dire circumstances knowing all the other high leveled
Sealing Jutsu they had. I guess it was in the purpose of defeating those as unearthly as the Tailed Beasts, Or Orochimaru.
