[Discussion] Could Shiki Be The Seventh Shichibukai?

Just had a thought.

What we know about the Shichibukai so far:
-Is responsible for Z's subordinates slaughter and cutting off his arm
-They're a "swordsman"
-Formerly a level 6 inmate in Impel Down
-Escaped during Luffy's rampage, along with the Blackbeard Pirates
-Ate a powerful Devil Fruit

Since Shiki isn't confirmed dead and hasn't been in the canon storyline since Chapter Zero it would be incredible to see him as the seventh Shichibukai. Think about it...

-He has to be hella strong to wipe out Z's subordinates and cut off Z's arm. Shiki was formerly of Yonkou level until age started taking it's toll
-He therefore needs to wield a blade of some kind

Shiki was a swordsman back in the day (around the same time Z's arm was lost), and still wields these swords today

-He was a level 6 inmate at some point in the past, if the tenth movie ending is partially canon, it's likely he was recaptured and imprisoned in Impel Down (in time to escape when Blackbeard recruited new members)
-We also know this Shichibukai wields an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit, Shiki has the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi (which is obviously one of the strongest Paramecia's ever)

I know it's a mahussive stretch. But if he was recaptured then he fits all of the criteria Oda had revealed to us in one of the SBS's. I think it would be really cool to see him again, and perhaps in Wanokuni?

This would make for an incredible plot twist

This would be too much of a power boost to the shichi Lol. Dofla, kuma, mihawk and the shiki. I'd like the sound of this but just can't see someone like shiki working under the marines. Going from having the largest fleet possibly ever and facing off against roger to being a marine dog? Lol that's sad and pathetic. If he is working for the marines as a shichi then he better have grander motives like BB did and seize upon something big or i'd be pretty disappointed U_U

Too much power? The Shichibukai are meant to rival the Yonkou. So they'd need someone as OP as Shiki.

It's not sad and pathetic if it's part of a bigger scheme (kinda like Blackbeard), which matches them up actually, and if this is the case I can see both how and why they worked together.

We know it wasn't one of:
Crocodile, Doflamingo, Jinbe, Hancock, Mihawk, Kuma or Moria... They were the Shichibukai and had been prior to the storyline, and yet we know this guy is "new" to the system. So either there's a lack of consistency or Z's statement was non-canon

Nope, He quit his admiral position when his family was killed and ended up as an instructor. Later at some point he lost his arm and some of his men against a pirate.He quit his job as an instructor when he found that WG offered WL seat to the man who cut off his arm.


OT: I can't see Shiki being a WL. He's one of those that hates the WG the most. I don't think someone as prideful as him would join hands with marines. Hell he can't even stand the point of WG killing Roger and you think he'll join Shichibukai? Not going to happen.

No, Z quit the Marines when the pirate that severed his arm and killed his companions became a Shichibukai during the timeskip.

Mihawk is hyped to be Yonkou level...

Shiki has also aged, so he's probably more like Magellan or Marco in terms of power
