Could shikamaru overcome itachi or kurenai in genjutsu?

Shikamaru has high intelligence, could he overcome them?

I can be super intelligent. Doesn't mean I can defeat someone who is invincible and has zero weaknesses.

Itachi's genjutsu is too strong, especially if he has Koto Amatsukami. I'm not sure about Kurenai's genjutsu though.

We don't know much about Kurenai's Genjutsu but with his intelligent, (imo) I don't think he'd be able to find a way to escape Itachi's Genjutsu. Maybe avoid it but I don't know.. It would be interesting to see what he would do against a Genjutsu user though.

The OP was asking if he could break out of Itachi or Kurenai's genjutsu.

LOL, stupid question. Itachi is the best Genjutsu user in the series, arguably. Shikamaru doesn't stand a chance, Itachi disabled one of Konoha's best Genjutsu users and even she was shocked...

Yes if he uses his shadow to break his finger again but if itachi uses tsykiyomi he wouldnt break that

That's not what the OP asked. He was asking whether Shikamaru can overcome Itachi or Kurenai's genjutsu. He never said Shikamaru had genjutsu.

yes if it's a basic one. We've seen him break out of it during chunin exams and in the fight with sound ninja. He definitely has smarts for that
