Could Sasuke's Plan Have Worked?

After killing Naruto, Sasuke planned to kill the 5 kages Do you think he could have pulled this off? Team Taka and Orochimaru would probably stand with him, but he'd have a lot of powerful ninja upset with him for killing the kages.

I think he could have. Sasuke was already strong, but he also had his Rinnegan abilities too. I don't see how anyone could challenge him. Sure people would be upset he killed the Kages and probably whatever ninja stood up to him, but who could stop him from ruling?

I remember some people thought he'd just set a time release like Madara did to revive himself if he ever died. The whole idea was Sasuke could be immortal if he wanted to. I dunno if that could have worked.
