Hypothetically, if Sasuke had Itachi's Susano'o do you think he could beat the Sage?
He could basically infinitely camp with Yata Mirror and use Totsuka along with his Rinnegan abilities.

This^ Sasuke is only at half of the rikudo's power level so now even with his brother's Susanoo and weapons the sage still wins. The Sage has tools of his own and all he need do is seal the Yata mirro and Tosuka blade. The rest he can do on his own.
