Could Sasuke have cast izanami?

That last scene with Sasuke getting stabbed reminded me of Itachi's flashback, as he described how izanami came into being and how it was cast: a few sensations and images recorded by the sharingan and then looped. could have been the sound/image of the water style attack tobirama pulled, then of tobirama getting impailed, the sound of sasuke's sword stabbing the earth, and then the trapped ninja impailing the caster of the izanami; only to start the cycle over again. it's just like in itachi's flashback and itachi's defeat of kabuto. Perhaps if it fails to trap Madara, he would have Hashirama's trump card in his back pocket. Thoughts?

he brags about being a loser compared to hashirama all the time so I don't think izanami would really pose a threat to him..
however, when it is completed (if it is) then since he would be in genjutsu , the others could run up and lop his head off quickly.

Sounds about right to me. Sasuke saw itachi active izanami so it's understandable he can also active it since the sharingan can copy moves. Madara might break it with will power or some crap.

It's actually impossible to escape the Izanami even if you see through it, the only way to get out is to accept the truth and move on, there's no way to cheat that system.

The thing is the start od preparing Izanami would be when Sasuke got stabbed, it has to be a sensation and image that both him and the victim both feel then he has to recreate that same sensation and image as Itachi has. So unless Sasuke can get stabbed in the heart/chest two times exactly like he did the first time then he can't use Izanami. This is why Itachi stated it can't be used in a real battle, to even be desperate enough to use the jutsu means you'll be fighting a tough opponent and chances of dying before you can activate Izanami is too high.

Actually there is a way to cheat it if you know how it works. Example: If Kabuto had full knowledge of how Izanami works like Madara does (Madara taught Obito who taught Itachi who told Sasuke about it) then the moment Izanami took affect, all Kabuto had to do was to give in to what Itachi told me to do and end Edo tensei from within the jutsu and it would have ended. Madara knows how Izanami works so would know how to break out, key is knowing how the jutsu works.
