The thing with KA is not being able to break it, but being able to recognize it. It was never especially strong, just very subtle.

Hell even Ao broke out of it with a standard "kai" once he picked up on it.

Shisui was a genjutsu master, therefore its stupid to assume he only uses KA. Especially when he doesnt even have his MS activated. Rewatch the video M8.
