Could Naruto love Hinata?

What you just said I in know way implied by what naruto said, in that case sakura wouldn't have been anrgy because it would have been a honest and real statement, but it was a joke, and of course sakura hits naruto when he plays around too much.

Sakura was angry becuase he said that they are couple, yet they arent. As simple as that. It doesnt mean he was joking, becuase his face expression clearly says that he wasnt. He wasnt similng, he was confused.

I don't find any pairing "childish" because I know everyone has their own opinions on why they like that pairing.
But the reason NS might come across as childish is because we know exactly why Hinata loves Naruto but I've seen people confused on why Naruto likes Sakura in the first place.

Like you said it's because he thought she was cute and they shared a goal of being acknowledged.
But still, why didn't Naruto fall for Ino. She was cute in part one, and she was equally attempting to be acknowledged.
Or even Hinata. Naruto probably didn't think she was cute, but he said himself that she was trying to be acknowledged by her family.

Plus NS interactions generally are pretty playful and juvenile

Well, In chapter 632 when Naruto was all scared about Sakura's strengh he said that he will never poke fun of Sakura again, he was obviously referring to last chapter.

Well Naruto answer was a somehow a little "joke" or just a paraphrasing based on Sakura's fakefession and that's is the reason why she got mad immediately after.

Since the beginning I could see that Naruto was saying something more that it seems and would be pretty stupid if he was confirming that she is hos girlfriend after all Hinata did for him and without mention that Sakura doesn't love him and he know it very well.

I think in the end NaruHina will be hinted, something *like Hinata trying to be more close to Naruto and Naruto starting blushing, showing that he started having feelings for Hinata :madorable:I would love to see something like that.

About SasuSaku, well I really think this one will be entirely reciprocated by both sides, dunno why, but this pairing isn't exactly like NaruSaku or even NaruHina, I always have the impression that SasuSaku isn't one side-love.

Ot: I like the complexity of SS and NH.
Even though NH might be one-sided (because we don't completly know Naruto's feelings, but there are evidences)
Hinata said something like "Next time, I'll be walking with you, holding your hand."

I never sensed that SS is one-sided for some reason. Maybe because of part1.
Sasuke just came back and there's a lot of SS already, IMO snicksnick.

I like the chemistry of SS and NH.

SS is pain and love, it deserves to become healing and love.
Sakura and Sasuke both have their own pain, And I think Sakura understands Sasuke more than anybody (Besides Naruto).
She was the one that knew walking the path of revenge won't do anything for anybody :/

NH, they complement each other because they're opposites personalities.
Naruto is outspoken about almost everything, and says stuff without thinking it through (hence Minato's dump on NH).
Hinata kept her feelings inside of her and she let it mature.
Hinata is shy and Naruto is outspoken and dumb(I mean personalities, not brains)
As well as Sakura, Sasuke wasn't even there for her and her love is still there :/ I guess that's true love.

There is still the main conflict to play out and that is -----------> the end of the war and am.... reuinion of team 7 aka the plot and there we will probably get the final relavations .

As i stated in another thread , until otherwise contradicted Sakura still romantically loves Sasuke, so no need to debate there.

Not really, she isn't his girlfriend, he was joking and said "well if your not splitting hairs" which could easily mean somthing like "she is my friend who is a girl so by definition yeah" or somthing like that, but that doesn't matter, the point is he was clearly joking around, and knew sakura would hit him.

In Japanese the word "girlfriend" has a complete differently meaning than a girl that is a friend ^.^ If you don't believe me I'll post some links later. So there was no way that Naruto could of have been saying just a friend, but it was meant to be "girlfriend" - as in they are a couple.
